My husband was about to deploy for a year and we had just moved across the country to be where he's stationed. He took me to the pound to pick out a dog for my birthday! We found Daisy, she was in the back of her kennel looking scared and when we took her out she was shanking. We brought her home, she played with our kittens, and she was part of the family!
