Arrival Story:
We already had one Husky - Ketah, and she was a wild thing. Several people told us we might consider getting another one - which could either be a blessing or a disaster. We went back to the breeder in East Texas, and low and behold, they had this cute little 12 week old male puppy, and we fell in love with him. So, we left that day with Niko. After moving to North Carolina about 5 three years ago from Texas, Niko and Ketah adapted very well to NC living. Ketah is the wild one though and just before Christmas 2005 she ran off (with Niko). We got Niko back, but Ketah is still missing. So, today Niko is my only Husky hunny and he stays with me constantly. He is very laid back and sweet, and not at all the wild, on the edge dog that Ketah is. Niko misses his best friend, but today he is my best friend and companion.
Bio:
We have added Bailey, our St. Bernard to our family, and she and Niko are buddies. They hang out together, and play together. Bailey still has a lot of puppy in her - she is almost two. And, Niko kind of puts up with her. He also has Chapin, our rescue dog to pal around with, but Chapin is not like the other two. She is more of a loner, and Niko, well, Niko hates to be alone! Don't leave him by himself - he WILL Howl! Loudly! Big Baby! But, he is MY baby, and I love it!

Hey Mom! You need to update me! I have had a lot happen since the last time you wrote in here! Ok, well maybe not a lot! Pretty much the same 'ol thing everyday - sleep, eat, drink water, go outside, sleep, chew up something, dig in the trash, eat whatever I can find on the counter, sleep some more, play with Bailey and Chapin, tolerate Forrest and Luke messing with me, etc, etc, But, hey! You can give some details can't ya?
For one, I LOVE what you are doing with my page! The fact that you spend hours, and you just LOVE seeing who has signed my guestbook, and all my pup friends, and that you let things go around the house because you are so busy on MY Dogster page!! Wow! The dedication ! The love! It makes me - kind of - teary!
But, if you play that Lost Blue video again, and cry ONE MORE time!! Well, I don't know - I know it makes you all sad after losing Ketah almost two years ago to the day, and for all the other lost fur kids out there, and how painful that is, ok, ok, I guess I can understand! I love you MOM!

Life is good these days. I miss my best buddy Ketah, who ran off in December just before Christmas. We were out running around, and I don't know what happened to her. Thankfully, someone called my mom and she came and got me, but that Ketah just vanished into then air. She is so pretty; I think someone decided to make her their own puppy pal. But, since I am the new King of the house I have been living the good life. I get to stay in the house all the time now, and I sleep on the bed with my mom and dad. Of course, Dad hates that my hair is flying around all over the place, but HEY - That's the way it goes! At least I have hair !!! Mom takes me in the car when she can too. I love all the attention I get. I am very handsome, and I like to show off.
Yes, I miss Ketah, but maybe soon Mom will get me another playmate. I have Chapin, but she doesn't play with me quite the same way another husky does. I know that Mom really wants another husky hunny, and it would be great, but right now - I am living the good life!
