Arrival Story:
My Izzy, who was also a golden passed on from bone cancer at 8 years old. My husband and I were devastated. Our vet told us about a litter of puppies. Two weeks later we went to look at two litters of puppies from the same breeder. Tedi kept leaping on my lap. Finally she put her paws around my shoulders and looked me straight in the eye. That was it. Picked us. She is a sweet, intelligent, loving companion. I feel blessed having her in our home.

Bio:
Tedi is going to be 9 in September. She has blossomed into a perfect, loving lady. Tedi has a wonderful disposition. Her tail never stops wagging.

My Diary

14 MONTHS LATER . . . .

Last July 4th (2010) I managed to shatter my leg after ACL surgery (of course, I did it at the vet's).

I am proud to report I am walking again as if this never ever happened. I have resumed my morning 30 minute walks!

I could not have recovered so well if it wasn't for Davis Animal Hospital, my dad, my mom, and all the well wishes and prayers I received from all of you.

Thank you from my family and most of all, thank you from me.

Love
Tedibear

STILL COUNTING MY BLESSINGS

My people went on vacation and left me at a pet hotel. I partied with other dogs and pulled my ACL. I'm not a candidate for surgery, two bouts of cancer has been rough on my body. So I'm taking anti-inflammatory pills. And they are working!

I'm still glad to be alive. My mom says I am the sweetest fighter in the world.

Count your blessings every day, pups. You never know what is going to be thrown at you or your people. And if they love you as much as mine do they WILL make every day count.

Let it be; it will anyway.

CANCER PART 2

On Feburary 3rd I had another tumor removed. This time it's a 2+. Not great news but it could be worse. They have given me approximately 24 months. The thing is I don't know I'm sick. I still play, walk, steal human food, etc.

My mom thinks that if she treats me like a "sick dog" I will become a "sick dog". I wasn't suppose to live this long after my last bout with cancer. I surprised them. Maybe I will again and live to 13, who knows?

The main thing is that I have had a GREAT life. Now my people are giving me a happy ending.
