Quick Bio:

Birthday:
August 24th 1992

Likes:
I love walking, car rides, belly rubs

Pet-Peeves:
I hate it when my mom plays treat games with me (just give me the treats !). I also hate when there isn't any ice in my water. I can't stand when Mom puts sunglasses, hats, and bandannas on me. And if Mom blows in my face one more time....

Favorite Toy:
Toys are for puppies. But I love playing "hide and seek" with my mom.

Favorite Food:
chicken, french fries, hamburgers, hot dogs. I also love baked doggie cookies.

Favorite Walk:
Around the neighborhood. Actually, I love anywhere my mom walks me.

Best Tricks:
I love giving my mom paw and I can jump real high.

Arrival Story:
I was born on the night of Hurricane Andrew in Miami. I don't remember how many siblings I had . I do remember one was named Andrew. My grandma's friend owned my doggie mom (Lady) and she decided to give us away (I don't know why; we were soo cute). So, a couple of weeks later, my grandma's friend brought us to my new house and asked my mom which one she wanted (my mom was a young girl at that time). I stuck my head out so she could see me. It must've worked because she chose me. At the time, she wanted a girl so I could eventually give birth to puppies, but my grandma secretly got me spayed. :~) I prefer to be spayed, because I learned that I would be healthier and I don't want my children to end up in shelters or homeless. Anyway, Mom named me Lisa after Lisa Simpson (Mom and I love that show ). Plus, Mom's best friend at the time had a dog named Bart.

Bio:
I'm an old dog. However, age is nothing but a number. I run and jump just like a puppy. I get soo excited about my walks. If you are taking too long to walk me, I'll nod my head towards the front door or I'll try to turn the knob. My uncle thinks I'm going deaf, but I only obey when they have a treat for me. When I want to, I can be a little devil :~) *The other doggie on the photo with me is Tee. He is my uncle's doggie. He is a corgi mix. Tee died 2 years ago from a car accident. He is in Heaven now. He will always be missed.* *Great, Mom added a photo of Princess the hamster. This means war!*

Lisa has passed away

I know I haven't posted on dogster in awhile. But I have to report sad news. Lisa was called to the Rainbow Bridge on September 21, 2009. She has been living fine even though she had kidney disease for almost 2 years. However, her kidneys finally failed. My mom and aunt had to take her to the vet and she was put to sleep. My mom said she died peacefully. She was 17. I had her since I was a kid. I don't know life without her. But it would be selfish to keep her here, suffering, just for me. Her behaviour changed. She looked so sad and she had no energy. I hope where ever she is now, she is happier, healthier, and younger.

I love you, Lisa. You are one of a kind.

PS Be good to Princess the hamster when you are up there.

Hey, Fab Doggies

It's my Bday and I can cry if I want to, eat if I want to, sleep if I want to. You would poop too if you were a dog too!

I'm a wonderful 15 years old . And I get better with age. My human bought me doggie treats that look like doughnuts and cupcakes. Love 'em!

She also got rid of Princess! Yeah!!!!!

No, I'm just kidding. Princess is still here. Matter of fact, Princess wrote me a little song. Here it is. Ahem, "Happy birthday to Lisa. You live in a zoo. You look like a monkey and you smell like one to."

Awww, isn't she nice? Wait, I look like a monkey? I smell like one?

Excuse me, Fab Doggies. I have to go bite a hamster.

Chow,

Lisa

I Hate Tiles!

Hello, wonderful Doggies

Well, this past week was weird. My humans decided to pull out the comfortable carpet and replace it with tile. How am I suppose to take my beauty naps on tile? First, I can't sleep because of the stinky rat named Princess keeps rolling her ball towards me and now the ground is hard.

I have a special pillow, but I like to lay down where ever I feel like it. I don't want just one place to lay my aging (but still youthful) body. I want the entire floor to be comfy. Also, the floors are slippery. I feel like I'm an ice skater. Humans never ask dogs permission to change the house.

Well, I'm done complaining. I hope everyone is having a better week.

Chow,

Lisa

P.S. I met a very handsome Doberman Pincher across the street. While the tiles were being installed. At least that's one good thing about this week.
