Arrival Story:
"Koty is one our Rainbow Bridge family" I have always been taken by the Siberian Husky. I was in college at the time, and wanted to finish before acquiring one. But alas, it did not happen that way. I went to the mall and passed by the pet store (yes the puppy mill place, bad me), and there were Siberian Husky pups in the window. 2 black and grey females and one red male. I have never seen any other Siberian Husky but black and grey and the such. Koty was nothing but fuzz, feet, and ears. I just had to see this pup. He was so cute, pulling me off my chair and taking off with my shopping bags and pulling the stuff out of them. I took him home. It did not take me long to learn how energetic, courious, and destructive Siberian Huskys are. And smart. Boy was he smart. Opening cupboards, closets, dresser drawers, the top off the garbage can, the toilet lid, the bathtub doors, cereal and cracker boxes, the bird cage, and - be still my heart- the screen door! I husky proofed the house, got a crate and the whole nine yards. I weathered through holes in the couch, chewed up electric blankets, disappearing socks, panites stolen out of my top drawer, kleenex shredded all over the house, and chewed up travelers checks, (don't ever leave money where he can reach it), etc. After all, I made a commitment, and it never dull. It always puzzeled me that Koty was not a physical type dog. He was not one to be petted, or hugged, or seek affection. At the age of 10, Koty finally calmed down and I could leave him home alone not have to worry about anything being distroyed. On the week of his 13th birthday, we found he had liver disfunction. Koty got so weak and so thin, so quick. On October 11, 2001, Koty went to Rainbow Bridge.
