Arrival Story:
Tyson was given to me by my neighbours down the road, Mr & Mrs Tan - really coincidental is that he was born exactly 1 week after my last dog, Impy, died in 2001. Tyson came to me when he was 2 months old, in May 2001. Just before the 1st day, Mr Tan and I fenced up part of our front gate with chicken wire because the 'diamond-shaped' patterns on my gate is such that a puppy could go through. However, I didn't get enough chicken wire, so we had to patch up part of the gates with copper wire. That1st night, he was home, while I was having a shower, Tyson managed to escape, and ran all the way down the road (somethng like a 1/2 km) at 3am in the morning, back to Mr & Mrs Tan's home. When I got out of the shower and found he was missing, I realised that he had bitten through the copper wire in the front gate and escaped. At 3am in the morning, I was running down the road calling his name. I was really scared that he'd either got lost or injured, and hoped fervently that he would be at the Tans' home. But he was only 2 months old. But as I neared the Tans' home, I saw the lights on, and there he was! Mrs Tan said that he stood in front of her gate and barked like crazy, waking up her neighbours. What a clever boy he was, and to think he was only 2 months old! I told the Tans to keep him there that night, as I wanted to make sure my gate was secured before he came home. The next day I went to get more chicken wire and blocked up the rest of my gate. And he came home with me the next night.

My Nana's back from Australia!

Oooh, naughty mummy has been lax!!!

Hiya to all my friends,
I'm baaaaack!!! My naughty mummy has been so caught up in her work and other stuff that she has not filled in my dairy entries for months on end. So now that she's decided to make amends, I hope to be back here more often.

Things are coming along just fine, and my Nana is once again, back in Australia for Christmas. Mummy is home in Singapore with me, and she had just fed me my breakfast. It's fast become one of my most favourite foods- it's a dried dog food called Meaty Museli, and it's from Australia. I just love the different bits of stuff they have inside- bits of dried peas and carrots, puffed rice, meat chunks which include even kangaroo meat (oh dear...), canola, fish and flaxsee oils, dried parsley, kelp and gardic, bran, honey, bacon chips and even cheese balls. Oh I just love it. I also had an organic carrot and oatmeal biscuit with it.

Last night, mum gave me a real treat of a rolled-up pig hide. I spent alot of time chewing it, but when it got to be about 4 inches, mum took it away from me, 'cos she thought it was too short. Shucks. Hope I get some chewies tonight again. The night before she gave me a nice smoked pig's ear after dinneer. Tonight, mum might make me a steak or a chicken with rice. She's not sure yet.

Yes, I sure love my food. But do you folks also know that I love my FRUITS as well? Yes, I love having friuts at anytime of the day for snacks - my favourites are regular pears, Chinese pears (which are round in shape and have yellow skin and a juicy, crunchy interior), apples, mangoes (one of my most favourite!), sharon fruit, bananas, and oh the tropical fruit called durian - if you google it, you might read a description of it - it has a hard, spiky exterior which hides the luscious, strong-smelling durian seeds inside- the texture of the durian seeds are like custard, and are yellow in color too.

But oh, the smell of durians!!! It's been described as "eating blue cheese over an open sewer in Asia". It is the stinkest fruit on earth, but me and my Nana loves it. However, my Mummy hates it, and when I eat it, mummy will refuse to kiss me for a few days. Yes, it's not pleasant at all but I love durians!

And yes, my other favourite fruit is Avocados (but is it a fruit or veg? Oh nevermind...) Now this my mummy loves too, and she often eats it with me. One spoonful from her and another for me, all from the same spoon. In fact mummy is going to the supermarket today to see if she can get some avocados for dinner tonight. Yums, I'm looking forward to it.

Anyway, I must be off now, for my late morning nap. I will fill you in about my antics later, which sometimes consists only of sleeping. See ya!

My Nana's back from Australia!

I'm so excited! My nana's back from Australia after more than 2 months away! She came back last night, and when the taxi stopped outside my home, I was sooo happy that I barked like crazy, stood on my hind legs and jumped up and down while holding onto the front gate with my paws.

Nana spends a few months each year in Australia where my cousin, Joey lives with his family. Joey's master is called Jacob and Jacob, his mom and Joey (who's a Jack Russell) live in Perth, Western Australia. You can see Joey by doing a quick search with his name, Joey and his hometown, Perth. Ironically, both Joey and I still haven't got around to getting into one another's pup pals yet. I must go send Joey a link again, as the last time, it got erased accidentally!

When Nana came home, I knew she would have some goodies for me - like my favourite pig's ears. She also got a box of Aussie dog biscuits called Lucky Dog for me, as well as a really cute drinking bowl that can be connected to a litre water bottle (the kind you get in soda pop litre bottles). My mom can't wait to try it out. Nana also bought me a few new collars.

I am glad my Nana's back, because my mom has been very busy lately working 2 jobs as a part-time TV producer and a new temporary job as a substitute teacher. And yes, mom's been very stressed out as a substitute teacher. I think she much prefers doggies to teenage brats! haha! Now that Nana's back, there's some company at home, although mom's schedule is better now, and she also gets to spend more time with me.

Well, I have to go now. Will drop in again!
