We had 11 wonderful years with O'Hara. She lost her battle with inoperable bladder cancer in April 2004. She loved life and fought the illness. Her doc gave her 6 months to a year to live. She lived 2 and a half years pain free. We had to send her to heaven. It was one of the hardest things We've ever had to do.
O"Hara sent little Shelby to us. We weren't looking for a puppy. We went to donate newspapers to the local pet store and we left with Shelby the sheltie.
We went inside just to peek at the puppies and I saw this tiny sheltie. I had to hold him. I felt an immediate connection. I felt O'Hara looking down smiling and telling us to take him home. He is tiny, only 8 lbs. He reminds us so much of O'Hara. Even does some of the same things she did. He is a little doll. He makes us smile everyday. Hobo (our pound doggie that came to live with us unexpectedly, but very welcome)is very patient with little Shelby. We have an unlikely little family here.
O'Hara will always be the "queen of my world"
