Bandit slept a lot in his final years but still loved to run in the backyard. He loved his treat and cookies
Rawhides, but he doesnt get them anymore, he turns into Cujo :)
Sit and Paw, sitting hurts him these days but he gives GREAT PAW!!!!
We adopted Bandit back in 1995 from Siberian Husky rescue which is how I got involved in rescue. Bandit was called Rocky back then, apparantly someone gave Rocky as a gift to his parents and they surrendered him to Rescue. He was oh so cute! With those big ears and those goggles which he doesnt have anymore :( He is a tough, tough boy, he has been through a lot and acts and looks half his age.
It is with a very heavy heart and through tears that I write this. We had to send Bandit off to the Rainbow Bridge on New Years Day 2009...Happy New Year huh? It was almost as if Bandit knew this was the day he needed to go but he fell and could not get back up and was in so much pain. We took him to the emergency vet and it showed he had cancer. A very painful decision indeed but the way it needed to be. Bandit was with me and saw me through so much in mine and Steve's married life together and also our divorce. We are both so broken up about this but know he is in a better place. Amazingly enough he was running up until the day before he fell. We miss you so much Bandit......Kendra has been so sad and sleeping on your bed since you left us,,,,,,
Our bear til the very end.....
