Arrival Story:
I already knew that I wanted a dapple dachshund but with short hair. The breeder that I went so had one and also a long haired dapple. The short hair was cute but once I saw Delilah dragging around one of her litter mates by its ear I knew that she was the one for me!

Bio:
When Delilah was 4 months old, I found out that she had a heart condition that could shorten her life if not taken care of. I was devestated. The best vetrinary cardiologist for the procedure she needed was @ Texas A&M but it was pretty costly. I had a bikini car wash/yard sale as a fundraiser and succeeded in raising all the funds needed for the operation! The doctor's at Texas A&M were great and the procedure was a success. It's been 2 years since the operation and she is in perfect health!
