Panee, baby, Mommy

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:

February 11th 2003

"torturing" Knuck!, chasing the cat, sleeping, hiding snacks, 'roosting' on Dad's shoulder (like a parrot), following Mom all around the house (I'm the only one who goes up and down all the stairs!)

I don't like being held too tightly/squeezed in a hug, and hate getting my nails cut

Favorite Toy:
plastic bottle cap, old knotted socks, musical froggy and "moms" bear

Favorite Food:
everything, especially whipped cream!

Favorite Walk:
just running in the yard

Best Tricks:
Loves chasing the laser "dot". Just say DOT and she goes nuts looking for it. Panee actually talks to you, too. aahr, aahr, woof, aahr, grrrr

Arrival Story:
I purchased Panee from the same breeder where I bought Knuck, with the hopes of breeding them. She was diagnosed with mega-esophagus two weeks after I brought her home and could only eat pureed food, eat from a raised bowl, was held upright and burped after every meal. The vet told me she might not live past 2 years, but she seems to be holding her own. She had to be spayed, which shot the breeding idea out the window. It's been almost a year since I brought her home and now eats everything and anything! She's a skinny little ball of energy (6lbs). May '06 Well, it finally looks like Panee is catching up with her appetite. Her back end is getting a little large (sounds like Mom) and she's no longer a pityful skinny little girl. She's turning into a little butterball, eventhough she's not getting anymore to eat than she used to get.

3/05 Well Panee just past her 2nd birthday and is still going strong! She has occasional wheezing episodes, but we just hold her upright until she clears her airway. What a doll-baby. 06/05 Panee wasn't thrilled when we brought home Knuck's daughter, but they're getting along better (I think the girls are ganging up on Knuck!). Panee is very possessive of 'Dad' and won't let P'Nut or even me near him when she's perched on his shoulder. She is the official greeter on the boat, too. She stands on her hind legs and hops around barking at anybody who comes near the dock. 2/08 Whoo-hoo Panee is now 5 years old and doing very well! Occasional up-chuck episodes, but hey for a dog who wasn't supposed to make it past 2 years, she's doing great! She is and always will be our baby!
