Jed loves laying down with Mommy or Daddy and getting his ears rubbed, sleeping with Mommy up in her bed (he's a cover hog!), playing with his little sis Stella Blue and chasing the kitties, playing with big brother Gryphon, sneaking into the cat box!
Pet-Peeves:
Jed just loses it when he can't lay on the couch, is not the center of attention, or if Stella is getting patted and he isn't! Getting the nails cut and baths are also HUGE pet peeves!

Big brother Gryphon, tennis balls, anything Stella plays with
Favorite Food:
Beneful, anything Gryphon leaves sitting out, and especially kitty "treats" from the litter box!
Favorite Walk:
Jed likes to take walks on the walking path behind our house and LOVES it when Mommy takes him to Pet Smart!
Best Tricks:
Sitting, giving hugs, jumping up onto Mommy's bed and chewing Mommy's shoes and hiding them!
Arrival Story:
After moving into a new home in late 2004, our family looked to local animal rescue websites for a dog. We wanted a breed known for a wonderful disposition and to be a watch dog of sorts. We then found Jed through Planned Pethood in Swanton, Ohio. We picked Jed up from his foster home in North Toledo, and the rest is doggy history!
Bio:
Jed is the best dog in the world! He is loyal and extremely loving! He's a dog that actually likes going to the vet because he's a "ladies man" and flirts with not only the female vets, but the vet techs and office staff too! Jed was named after the Grateful Dead song "Tennessee Jed" because Mommy and Daddy are Dead Heads!

My mommy brought home my new baby "sister" on Thursday. She is a 7 week old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix named Stella Blue.
Mommy and Daddy were afraid that I'd be mean to her, but I'm NOT! I'm a good big brother!
I like to play with Stella, especially when she chases me. I also like to take her baby and her bones and play with them and not share. But hey, I give them back when Mommy says NO JED!
I'm also really good at night with Stella. Mommy put her crate next to mine, so at night I sleep by her and make sure that she doesn't cry. She woke up one night after she had an accident and I barked really loud so Mommy would wake up and help her. I've also shown Stella how to climb the deck steps, and even our "potty spot" in the yard.
Stella does get a little nutty and tries to jump on my back, and she likes to bite my ears and my tail. She also thinks I'm her puppy mom and tries to bite other parts of me, but I let her know there's nothing there for her!
Stella's a good kid! I'm glad she came to my house!

I am so glad I found a new mommy and daddy and big brother last year. My mommy said her new house didn't feel like a house without a dog, so that's why she rescued me.
I have the best house ever! I have a big backyard where I can run, play, and chew stuff. I also have two kitties indoors, even though that snotty Persian doesn't like me much. Mommy brought Chloe home last summer and I was so happy! Chloe is my best buddy! She lays on the couch with me, cleans my ears, gives me kisses, and she doesn't mind if I put her kitty head in my mouth and pretend to chomp down! Mommy was scared the first time I did that!!!!
I also have a big people brother named Gryphon. He's my bestest human buddy. He hates when I chase him and bite his butt, but he likes to give me a lot of hugs and kisses. He also gives me lots of bones, but that's when Mommy isn't looking. Mommy says I'll get sick if I eat too many bones!
Mommy just told me today that I'm getting a new little sister! Mommy begged Daddy until he said Mommy could adopt another dog. Mommy found an Australian Cattle Dog mix who she said is going to be named Stella Blue. Mommy just loves naming us dogs after Grateful Dead songs! :)
Mommy said Stella's cage will be in her room too. Mommy also said I'll be a good big brother and take good care of Stella. I'm a good boy!
