A Chihuahua With Some Good Ideas

Born to be a travelin' dog...

Erynne, my human, took me to work with her yesterday. Due to my embarrassing tendency to vomit in the car, she gave me one of those sleepy pills in some peanut butter. She thought I didn't know, but I did. But what kind of dog would I be if I resisted peanut butter just because there was a pill "hidden" in it?

I got to spend the entire afternoon with Erynne in her campus newspaper office. It's so pleasant, being able to just spend time with her without the other two leaping up and demanding their share of her attention. There are perks to being, as Erynne says, "The first, best girl."

*yawn* I think I'll go back to bed. Liberty, Erynne's boyfriend, is still sleeping, and I know how pleasant he is to sleep next to - he doesn't toss like Erynne.

An introduction

I am Mia, a 6 1/2 pound Chihuahua. I know a woman never tells her weight, but I happen to be proud of my trim figure, so I will tell anyone who asks.

I am the eldest of three dogs. My younger sister, Cordy, is a Toy Poodle. She's 10 months old, so she's beginning to show some sense, finally. My younger brother, Riley, is only 4 1/2 months old, so he is almost insufferable sometimes. Regardless, I strive always to be as calm as possible.

For the plebians who do not recognize my Diary title, it comes from a Jack Handy quote:

"I hope if dogs ever take over the world, and they chose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas."

I would make a wonderful dictator.
