Arrival Story:
It was my husband's b'day and he'd just come home from having another angioplasty. What to get him? He'd had a Chi years ago and while driving to pickup our grandson for a visit, I saw a Chi puppies for sale sign. Called and was told "we only have one left and he's black". I arranged to see him the next day, and immediately fell in love with this little black fur ball with huge bat ears! Now this is quite a feat, since I was raised with German Shepherds and basically dislike little dogs. When I took him home (snuggled inside my sweatshirt) his 'Dad' thought I had a rat in my shirt. Since everybody was in and out visiting, to this day he thinks when the door bell rings, you're coming to see him! I carried him around in my sweatshirt for the better part of a month to get him used to people, too. Oh, his name. We ride a Harley and wanted a bike name, but nothing obvious. Unfortunately when people ask his name, they think we're just calling him a knucklehead (unless they're Harley-smart!). Sad part is, he actually fits his name!

Bio:
We mated Knuck and Coco in 04/05 and they had 5 beautiful pups. We kept female #2 and brought her home in August. She's fawn color and is named P'nut. Knuck isn't too fond of her, but then again she teases him relentlessly! 09/05 Knuck got it again!! This time his sweetie was Sparkles and hopefully we'll have more Grandkids in November. 11/18 Sparkles delivered three beautiful pups...a female miniature of her dad (black with white spot on chest), a solid chocolate male and a chocolate and tan female. We kept the chocolate/tan female (Skooter). Now I have to convince 'Dad' to let me get Knuck neutered. Everytime I mention it he gets squirmy (a guy thing no doubt!). Almost had him convinced when P'Nut went into heat April '06. He changed his mind and we had to keep Knuck locked away from her for almost 3 weeks...lots of fun! We got a boat and take the four 'kids' down every weekend. Knuck finally figured out that there are steps on the side that I use to get on/off and he "walked" off the boat in June. Not too bad considering he's been going down to the boat since April! He never was real quick on the uptake. Now we have to try get him to keep his life jacket on.
