Ahhhhhhh - I'm finally home. Four days at the hospital was just too much for me to take - of course, I felt so icky I just slept there most of the time.
I want to thank everyone for thinking of me & sending me get well rosettes & bandaids AND the power of the PURR, of course. Those catster kitties were sending out mega healing purrs! Let me tell you, it worked! I feel "almost" as good as new -- I'm still pretty tired & that darn Callie won't stop terrorizing me - who'd have thought that whimp had it in him.
The vet still isn't sure what was wrong with me - he thinks I ate something bad & it was blocking me up (I did, but that's my secret) & was finally able to pass it. Guess it will remain a mystery to the humans - I just know I'm not gonna eat THAT again. Its not worth having to stay at the smelling hospital.
Thank you ALL so much for thinking of me. I'm almost back to my knucklehead (as the vet calls me) self - I just need a few more days of rest!
PS - They shaved my legs - can you imagine? Mom says that all princesses have shaved legs - wonder if its something I'm going to have to keep up with. I am a princess, after all.

Ugh, I don't know what happened. All was well on Thursday when Mommy got home from work - I gobbled down my food as usual, but didn't feel so well afterwards. My belly was all upset & I hurled like 4 times all over the house - Mommy said she didn't think a dawg belly could hold that much food. She gave me pepto but I hurled that too.
Me not feeling well at all - I wouldn't even eat my breakfast on Friday morning so mommy knew something was horribly wrong. She rushed me to the vet Friday morning & I've been there ever since. They did some xrays to see if I ate something bad (I'm not telling what it was - its my secret) & it was stuck in my belly. The first xray showed something but the one later in the afternoon didn't. They kept me on IV's all day Friday. When mommy came to see me on Saturday, I still wasn't feeling well. I drank some water but wouldn't eat my food. I ended up hurling the water all over the room mommy was visiting me in.
The vet was concerned & thinks I may have a blockage so I may have to have surgery......Me thinking that's not so good. They're doing blood work & said I needed electrolytes --- Mom is hoping that I eat soon - otherwise I'll have to go under the knife. I really want to eat BUT I just can't stomach it.........
In the meantime - I'm still at the vet. I'd sure appreciate your prayers in hopes that this will pass quickly. I don't like being away from my mommy, daddy, Callie & kitty siblings.

Well, it FINALLY happened. I made my FIRST OFFICIAL visit on Saturday. I passed my TDI test quite awhile ago & mom finally got my ID and paperwork. She kept saying she wasn't 'up' to taking me to the nursing home on Saturdays - don't know what she has to do to be 'up' to it?!?!
This Saturday came & I looked at her with hopeful eyes - begging will this be MY week to go or do I have to stay home alone yet again. She looked at me & said "Daisy today is your day to share the love!" I got sooooo excited I ran all over the place. So off we went to get in the car, I could hear Callie sobbing in the house because he wasn't able to go....Mom 'almost' broke down but held firm...*whew* On the drive there, she lectured me (yeesh). She kept saying "Daisy you are going to work - work means NO JUMPING, got it?" "Work means you are calm Daisy - not crazy Daisy, got it?" Over & Over she kept repeating this stuff like a broken record. YES MOM I GET IT, enough already.
Sooooo - I made my grand appearance, and everyone just LOVED ME - yeah ME! I did my best to be calm Daisy - I visited all kinds of people that just wanted to pet me. I figured if they wanted to show affection by petting me, I'd show affection by licking them. They thought that was just adorable. Oh, and did I mention that they kept saying how beautiful I was - I'm BEAUTIFUL!! I visited so many people that wanted to pet me & talk to me my head was spinning - I never get this much attention...ever!
I was soooo good too - I didn't tug on my leash & only tried to jump twice. That was only cause they had treats for me & I wanted to jump on their laps - come on - isn't that what you're supposed to do for treats. Give them big cuddles?? Mom kept telling me how proud she was of me - well, duh mom - I did listen to that boring lecture all the way there.
NOW I know what Callie does every Saturday when "I" have to stay home. No wonder he comes home grinning from ear to ear - you get more attention in one day at the nursing home than a whole week at home. I think I'm going to like this therapy stuff......although it does get a little tiring....I had to take a long nap as soon as I got home - who'd have thought sharing the love would tire you out. I say its well worth it! I think I'm going to like this therapy stuff.

Well, after much nailbiting (on mom's part), I FINALLY passed my TDI test!! Mom didn't have a lot of faith in me, but I passed with flying colors - Yippeee! Callie isn't the only wonder dog in the house - I'm nipping at his heels.
I took the test last night & mom was very, very proud of me. I had been crazy when I was with the other dogs in school, but she had a very LONG talk with me on the way there & told me I had to WORK not PLAY!! She told me when I was going to work, I had to be calm Daisy - I took it to heart & was on my best behavior. Probably helped that mom was home with me all day & wouldn't let me take my nap - everytime I started to doze, she woke me up! Then she threw snowballs to me for 30 minutes before we left. I think I was more tired Daisy than anything else.
Mom still has to send in all my paperwork & stuff, but I can do visits now! She did take me to the home Callie goes to on Saturday (for a test run) - she said I did very good. Why wouldn't I - doesn't every dawgie love to be pet & hugged. Yeesh!!! Now I know what I've been missing when Callie goes off with mom - I knew he was getting spoiled!!!

First I must apologize for my belated Christmas entry......Don't know why mom has been such a slacker about getting some pix & my diary online. Mom needs a good spanking for being such a slacker!!! She did take some pix & we're sorry if she didn't get ALL the wonderful gifts!!! Callie & I were going a little crazy so she couldn't get a lot of good shots.
Second - I want to thank ALL my GREAT pals for the superb gifts & treats you sent!!! I was overwhelmed with your thoughtfulness. You are all are just the best friends a girl could have!! Mom had thoughtfully written down everything you'all sent but of course she has since lost her notes so I just am going to give a shout out to all of you (in no particular order - cause we love you ALL) for thinking of me & Callie!!!
Mia - Thanks for the toys & treats - LOVED the diamond (girls best friend for sure)
Seleney & Maddie - Thanks for the toys & treats & the diamond (a girl can't have too many, can they??) and, or course, the RUBBER CHICKEN!!!!
Ms Muddie - Thanks for the pawsome toys & specialty cookies (slurp)- love my mouse!! Someone HAS to take care of the mice in this house!!!
Zekey & Jackpot - Thank you so much for the snowman & mousey!! I am having a grand ole time destroying them -- Mr snowman is on his last "legs"
Hobie & Boscoe - Thank you for the treats & toys - Love my pink mousie & lion! Callie & I went crazy for the treats too!!
Sadie, Stormy & Sophie - Thanks for the awesome knot chews- they were delish!! We love the bed too - although we're generally fighting the cats for it!
Candy, Daphne, Charlotte & Lexy - thanks for the treats. I know you're kitties but I think you're still pretty awesome.

Oh my dogness, its been a whole year since I've written in my diary. A whole lot has happened since then. You'all obviously know I have a new BIG brother, Caliber. I got him shortly after my 1st birthday. I like to think of him as a belated gift. He can be a real pain in the hiney at times & he's such a momma's boy *eyes rolling*, but he really IS a lot of fun when he wants to be (and when he's not attached to mom's hip).
I wanted to write to tell you all about my 2nd birthday. It wasn't as grand as my first one (I'm gonna blame the big brother for THAT), but it sure was good. I started the day by sleeping IN! I didn't feel like getting up & doing shower duty with mommy. When I finally HAD to get up, mommy & daddy both gave me hugs & kisses with whispers of Happy Birthday in my ear. I got extra special treats at breakfast BUT still had to spend the day home with Callie. No fun times at daycare this year :(
When mom came home from work, she took us for a special walk on Cracker's trail. We love walking on the trail even if we have to be on a leash. We walked & walked & walked & I was smiling the entire time! After that she actually let us swim in the pond to cool down - she said she'd live with the stinkies for one day. I chased the fishies & almost caught one! After swimming I got an extra special treat of Frosty Paws!!! WoooEEEEEEEE - I love them except when I eat too quick & get an ice cream headache. Then I got to open my gifts - I got lots of toys to destroy from mom - rubber chickens, a purse, and some teddies. My Vegas pals Jackpot & Zeke sent me a pawsome birthday card and a really special poem:
A Birthday Poem For Daisy...by Zeke & Jackpot
We love Daisy, she's a pretty girl...
When we think of her, our hearts are in a whirl!
It's her big girl birthday, she'll be TWO...
Boy oh boy, how time flew!
I hope your party is happy & fun...
You sure deserve it, you're #1 !!
Happy Birthday DAISY!!!
How cool is THAT?? My good pal Mia sent me some pawsome treats (that I can't wait to try - Mom said I'd get a belly ache if I ate too much) & a really neat piggie that I just adore as you can see by the picture!
I want to thank all my pals for wishing me a fantab birthday and remembering little ole' me. And special thanks to Daisy, Triton, Dakota, Aero, Sammy, Muffin, Willie, and Mia for the birthday rosettes!! Boy it sure was a wonderful day thanks to all of you!
PS - Is two REALLY terrible? Mom says I'm acting more mature now & that I should try to be a big girl if I want to get to go places like Callie does. I'm gonna try really, really hard to show her that I can be the best behaved girl ever and that the ONLY thing terrible about two is leaving one behind!

Wow - what a birthday! First mom woke me up with hugs & kisses saying today was my special day & I was a special girl....She said I'm not a baby any more, I'm a big girl today! I'm ONE. She bought me a new cot bed - no more crate for me - that's for babies. Its kind of like graduating from a crib to a junior bed in the human world!!
We went off to daycare!!! All the dawgies there whispered Happy Birthday in my ear & gave me dawgie kisses. The big surprise was right before naptime. My human friends brought in an awesome looking cake just for ME. It had my name & everything on it. I gobbled it down like there was no tomorrow - boy, was it GOOD!!! I know mom must have been behind it - that's something she would do. And guess what, they even brought out peanut butter pupcakes for all my daycare friends to share in the celebration! How cool is that? It was really wonderful to spend my FIRST ever birthday with my dawgie pals.
When mom picked me up & brought me home, there were more presents for ME. Lots of squeaky toys, treats & greenies. Whatever am I going to do with them all....Hmmmm. Whew all this partying has really, really tired me out.....I may be a big girl now, but I think I need to hit the sack. Yawn!
Thanks to all my dogster/catster friends for the birthday p-mails & rosettes!
Special thanks to Sammy for joining in my virtual party via webcam & the pix! Hope you got your Frosty Paw for the celebration!
Special thanks to Asia for always being there for me & taking lots of pix.
Special thanks to all my daycare buddies - human & canine - for making my day wonderful!
Special thanks to MessArOOOOOOOOO for the wonderful bone!
And REALLY Special thanks to Lisa from www.purrfectpet.net for the awesome cake & pupcakes - great place for a lot of cool stuff!

Today I went to Doggie Daycare #2. First of all, I DID NOT get kicked out of the first daycare I went to. Mom was all excited to take me there because they had something called obedience training (whatever that is). She kept telling me I was going to get an ed-u-ca-tion, and I’d be better after it. Well, I went there & I really did have fun, but mom said she was disgusted by the place. They actually put me in a crate all day (I’m not even in a crate at home when I’m home alone while she’s working). They DID give me an hour of socialization with all the other doggies & I played my heart out, but then I had to go back in that crate. After mom picked me up, she told me I was never going back to that place again. Well, I did have fun & slept like a log that night, but I guess whatever mom says goes.
She took me to a new place today. ZowEEEEE – It was more fun than any doggie can imagine. She took me strapped in the backseat of her car again on a really long ride. I don’t understand why she does that – I really want to sit on her lap. We finally got to daycare & I ran around like crazy in the reception area. I was bouncing around so much I didn’t realize I hit the counter. Whoops, I knocked something over on the counter which hit the nice ladies coffee cup. Mom just about crawled under the counter in embarrassment. I didn’t mean to knock coffee all over the papers & computer keyboard – Seriously, I didn’t. The lady behind the counter told mom I was EVICTED – whatever that means. I could hear mom sucking up, saying she’d clean up the mess & she was oh so sorry (I think she said she’d buy her coffee for the next week). That didn’t stop me from bouncing all over the place. Mom made a quick exit after that & I was on my own. Boy-oh-Boy, did I have a great time. I played with 19 other doggies all shapes & sizes ALL DAY LONG – no crates in this place. My mom told me they called her at work & she just about melted under her desk. She said the first words out of her mouth were “Omigod, what has she done now?” The nice lady just wanted to call & tell her I was doing GREAT with all the other doggies. She only had to discipline me a few times for being too obnoxious with other labs. Gosh, I was only playing. The day was just too short (10 hours to be exact) before my mom came to pick me up. The lady told her that I was mouthy. Mom said that I never barked at home & she’s like NO she likes to bite your hands. Mom was ready to crawl under that counter AGAIN. I don’t know why she feels that way about me. Geez… Needless to say, I was pretty tired out from my day of playing. I’ve been sleeping like a log since I came home. Mom says I’m going back again on Thursday – YIPPPPEEEEEE!!! I can hardly wait!!!!!! I’ve met so many new friends & I even have a hook on the wall with my name on it for my leash!!!!
PS – They have something called a webcam there so mom can watch me at work. She said she was dying to see what I was doing but for some reason she couldn’t get connected (server issues). I guess she was really bumming. I’m pretty glad she couldn’t see me. I think she might have been embarrassed again……………I AM a pretty wild girl! And the boys there were Oh So HOT. Shhhhh – don’t tell her, she might never bring me back.
Here's the link for the webcams if you're REALLY bored & want to watch me.

I really LOVE my new home. My mommy told me that before I came here that my new daddy had made all these rules that I was supposed to follow. She just rolled her eyes when he told her them. They were silly rules……I’ll give you just a few of them: Rule #1 – the dog is not to bark or growl (BROKEN…..My mom came home from vacation & all I do is growl & bark for attention….Hmmmm, I was left alone with daddy for two weeks & this behavior didn’t start until she came home). Rule #2 – the dog is not to drool & beg while we are eating (BROKEN – how do you stop a dog from drooling???) Rule #3 – the dog is not allowed on the furniture (BROKEN – I have my own special place on the couch & cushy chair). Rule #4 – the dog is not allowed to sleep in the bedroom (WOL – I sleep in their bed – it’s big enough for a family of five). There were a bunch of other silly rules that have all been broken thanks to DADDY. Funny, how he had all these rules & doesn’t seem to follow through with any of them (grin). Well, I AM daddy’s little girl, after all. Thank goodness, he’s a pushover!!!! I knew mommy was from the beginning (giggle).
PS – Mommy took me to the vet for my Kennel Cough Vaccine – she wants to start me in Obedience Doggie Daycare while she’s at work (whatever THAT is). I have a crook in my tail & she asked the vet about it when we were there. Come to find out, my tail was broken when I was a baby & that’s why its crooked. She says I’m unique – I think that means I’m special.
