Chain Reaction...

Last night Mom turned off the lights and I settled down for a good night's sleep on my sofa. The only problem was that Mom forgot to cover up Chirp's cage, and at 2:30 a.m. his constant running back and forth on his long perch to stay warm kept disturbing my sleep. I decided to go into the bedroom where there was a nice mattress on the floor at the end of the bed for some peace and quiet. Ahhh! I fell into a deep sleep, but my snoring and jaw chomping woke up the little Dachshund Diva, so she woke up Mom. Mom put Mocha down on the floor and followed her to the waterbowl, then the Lazy Boy chair, so Mom crawled back into bed, thinking that all was well. Finally Mom heard Chirp running back and forth, so she got up to check on him and pulled his cover down. That's one smart parakeet!
