Contacted a breeder, met them in a very dimly lit parking lot in a bad part of town. Picked Brooklyn out of a litter of girls in a laundry basket - she had some white fur, but ther others were all alike, all black, no markings, so we liked her best.

She's really a southern gal, even though her owners are northeners - she was born in Charleston, SC.
