Arrival Story:
I found Gabey at the Center for Animal Care and Control in East Harlem on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, 2000. They took him out of the cage and that was it. Love at first sight. I named him Gabey after the Gene Kelly character in "On the Town." I don't any special affection for the movie, but I had just seen it the week before and the name was the first I thought of when I met him. It fits him although people pronounce is Gabby all the time.

Bio:
He's a really sweet dog and a total affection junky. He only barks at other dogs. He sometimes short circuits and pees on people and other dogs, usually at the dog run. He's got such a face. I would lay down in front of traffic for this dog.
