He's a picky eater and frequently does not finish all his food. He gets Natural Balance Venison and Sweet Potato canned and dry food. He loves vanilla ice cream and healthy dog biscuits occasionally.

Arrival Story:
John contacted Virginia German Shepherd Rescue (http://www.shepherdrescue.org/ ). We met one dog, but didn't "click". When John went to meet a family of Shepherds, he was looking to see which one would approach him, if any. McKinley was chained (temporarily), but he wiggled frantically to get John's attention, then stuck his snout firmly in John's armpit and snuggled close...it was True Love.
Bio:
McKinley and his 4 siblings were raised by a backyard breeder who wasn't able to sell his last litter. He contacted VGSR for help when his health deteriorated. He took good basic care of the dogs (food, water, shelter, shots, HW preventative, daily play times), but they spent their entire lives outside in a pen and none were given names. McKinley's ear tips are damaged from fly bites.

Daddy did it again. He looked on the local adoption website, fell in love and now I have to share him with ANOTHER dog. Sigh. A drooly Boxer at that.I bet he snores.Serves him right.

My Daddy is at wits end. Almost every time he leaves, even if for 20-30 minutes to take care of the barn, I leave him a little "present". I don't know why I do this. He has threatened to keep me in my crate every time he leaves if I don't stop. Sometimes I even do it after he lets me and Duke out to do our business. I will do it late at night while he is asleep, even if he lets me out before he goes to bed. Can you help me??

Today marks McKinley AK Mac's 6th trip around the Sun. 4 years and 11 months ago today Mac chose me to be his companion and while the breeder tried to cme up with every reason why I shouldn't take him, all untrue (except for runt) I knew Mac knew what was best for him. I am honored and priveleged to be your companion Mac. Here's to many more trips around the Sun together.
