Arrival Story:
Betsy's is an extremely sad story, but a triumphant one in the end. We found Betsy wandering and looking for food during a visit to my Mom's place in the country. Betsy was starving and had obviously had recently given birth to a litter of puppies. We never found the puppies, but we brought her home with us. The vet said that she was positive for heart worms and had had her gut kicked in so badly that her internal organs were misplaced. She also had an ankle brake that had healed on its own. Betes went through some serious surgeries to fix things. As you can see, she has fully recovered! Even with such a past, Betsy is an incredibily sweet and loving animal!
