life in general, always seemed just happy to be here, I believe if he had the gift of speech he would have spent his days singing WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD in a voice very similar to Louie Armstrong. His constant happy rubbed off on everybody he met.

ear cleaning, dirty stuff, nail cutting (usually performed by daddy scissorhands)

socks, empty plastic coke bottles, dish cloths,
Favorite Food:
cheese curls, cornbread. Rufus was tormented if I threw away leftover cornbread. he would stand by the garbage can and bark so hard his little feet would come up off of the floor.

Best Tricks:
Rolling over. He would run in circles and suddenly through his funny little self on the floor and roll over and back on his feet to get that biscuit..
Arrival Story:
A friend had other dogs when she got him at 9 weeks. They would not accept him so she sold him to us. I loved him before he was mine. I promised her I would take good care of him and love him as she did. I had no idea how much I would get in return. In the 7 years we had him he improved the quality of life.
Bio:
My heart dog, a regal basset, the sweetest boy in the world who left us due to cancer in October 2003. We miss him everyday.
