I got a new sister! She's a Siberian Husky and shes been living with my family now for a few months.. Terrorising ME of course! I don't know if my mum and dad notice when she's trying to chew off my ears, or disturbing me when I'm sleeping in the bed! She just doesn't get how things work! Everyone knows you're not supposed to jump on mum's face when she's sleeping, or chew up her bras! Augh! Atleast I'm looking more like an angel because of it!
I'm still at dog obedience training and so far I have two first place ribbons, a second and a third! I didn't get anything at my last fun day though :( I don't know if I told anyone though.. Last year I won Highest Placed Dog in Club Competition!! I even got a trophie out of it! I also had my name added to a plaque that hangs in the Werribee Obedience Dog Club building! This year is so much harder though! I need to practice so much more.. Luckily soon dad will have weekends off and make it easier for mum to take me to dog training! I'm also going to join an agility club this year, but I have to wait until September to get in! :( Maybe I should find another club to join as well... Like frisbee throwing or flyball?

Did I mention that during the Easter holidays my mum and her boyfriend took me on a camping trip along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria? They even managed to sneak me in to see the 12 Apostles! (No dogs allowed.. Oops! See photos above!)
I got to see the beach again, got to experience camping for the first time and got to see a great Australian sight! Though I much rather my warm queen-sized bed at home to that tent thank you very much!

So life down here in Melbourne has been quite different so far! It's starting to get colder which I -hate- but my mum bought me a cool shirt to wear to help me keep warm (us Staffies are most delicate you know!) She tells me that soon I will get alot more clothes for my wardrobe as she just got a job!
Alot of people tell me that it's going to get alot more colder.. Oh no! I guess I'll just have to snuggle up under the covers in bed for alot longer in the morning.. Mmm sleeping in is nice.. and warm! But sometimes I just can't hold on in the night and have to wake mum up at 6am to go outside for a wee. I love to just run back like mad and hop into bed though!
In two weeks I have another Funday at the Werribee Dog Obedience Club.. Lets hope I can win another ribbon! That would be cool! A promotion too would be great.. I -really- want to start agility training! I hope I don't get confused with dropping this time.. It's so tough to remember that command without a little food incentive! Oooops!
I think today I shall take my mum for a nice big walk once she's finished doing some cleaning :3

Zach and I have just moved out of home for the first time, and interstate too! (Murwillumbah, New South Wales to Melbourne, Victoria) It's been a bit of an adjustment and the drive to get here took two days but Zach has done so well with it all!
Dog obedience training wasn't available where we used to live so I made sure to sign Zach up as soon as possible when I moved down here.
We've been with the Werribee Dog Obedience club for a few weeks now and our first Funday (where everyone who enters, competes in their class levels for awards and promotions to the next class level) was yesterday.
It was a very, very hot day and sunny. You could tell all the dogs where feeling the heat! I was really nervous when it came to our turn to compete.. We walked over to the ring and followed the three judges' instructions which thankfully followed what a normal class routine is like! (Except it was only us in the the ring instead of a full class) Zach did really well except for refusing to do follow my drop command but that was alright, it just means more practice for us! The Judges' afterwards asked me if he could do it, and I said yes (but only with food!), so they showed me a different way to teach him. I tried there on the spot and he did it perfectly and stayed in position! (What a good boy!)
Most of the the mistakes were mine so I'm making sure to practice so I get rid of all my bad habits!
After competing I went back to the main pavillion for the sausage sizzle and to chat with some other owners. Zach made a few new friends and somehow managed to score some free sausages off a few people! (What a guts!)
At the end of the day they had a presentation with all the owners and dogs gathered around. I was really nervous and wasn't sure how we did.. When it came to our class though (Class 1) it was announced that Zach and I won second place! I was so happy! We'd never won anything like this before! We were presented a red ribbon and a certificate. What a great day!
Jarrod (Zach's new daddy and my boyfriend) who had work that day even managed to turn up just to see us perform!
We returned home tired yet happy.
