Likes:
Sshe likes to take other dogs for walks. She holds their leash in her mouth and trots along! She should have been a sheep dog. She thinks it is her job to help me with everything from putting on my shoes, to helping me walk down the stairs

Pet-Peeves:
She doesnt like when new dogs go near her food or toys. She gets very mad and starts a fight, we are working on fixing this.

Arrival Story:
Sophie is our second rescue Saint. We got her in July 2003 because we thought Winston was getting depressed and needed someone to play with because Kaycie won't give him the time of day. Sophie was about 9 months when we got her and she had also been passed around to 5 or 6 people and shelters. She had an issue with abandonment and being alone in the beginning. S he would destroy the house. Now she can be left out with the other dogs when we leave. I think the other dogs help her. Luckily Mom works from home so she doesnt have to be alone too often.

Bio:
She was a very scared little girl when we got her. She never barked at all! Or looked for attention. Now with a year and a half of love, she has blossomed! Update 11/04- What a LOVE nugget this dog is! She loves to nuzzle. She has learned to wake me up with the cutest little bark in the night if she has to go out and she just gets so excited when I leave and come back from wherever, if its 5 minutes or 5 hours. She is VERY attached to me, but thats OK! She is a very good girl but we just need to work on the food agression. Also now her new thing is digging. It never ends! We are calling her Bruiser now because she has absolutely no fear. This dog is afraid of nothing. Winston, our largest Saint at nearly 200 lbs is still a "puppy" in the Saint Bernard world and sometimes plays very aggressively with Sophie. She loves it. She will literally take a running jump off of the bed and land ON TOP of Winston! She and Winston love to play rough. Poor old Sadie and Kaycie come running to me when they get like that because they are afraid.
