Feeling Better

Hi y'all! I've been home for a couple days now. The first day I was pretty groggy, but I was so happy to see my mom & dad!!!! These have been the best days ever - I am getting sooo pampered, this is heaven! Dad even moved the mattress to floor so I don't have to jump up to sleep. The only bad thing is I can't run around w/ JackC. The doctor said "no running or jumping". But I only have one more week of restrictions, so JackC & Rebel better watch out! :) I have 22 stitches on my belly :( that's ok - they will come out soon.

I'm a little sick, but I'm getting better!

After several trips to the vet's office, and monitoring of my seizures & diet, it was determined that I have a liver shunt :( Mom & Dad took me to a specialist, and had A&M lined up just in case they didn't like the first people looking at me. But they were happy with the consultation, and after watching all the other big dogs coming into the office, I felt pretty comfy too. The only thing I was not expecting was leaving home and not coming back! Mom & Dad left me there for my surgery. Mom was crying, sniff, sniff. Luckily I made it through with flying colors - I'll be able to leave in 40 hours. I'm mostly worried about Rebel & JackC, they miss me so when I'm not around :( Mom is going to buy me a pretty present for when I come home, I can't wait!

Still no news, but I feel fine!

Well yesterday I went to get chipped :-) and to have some blood drawn. My vet called today w/ my results. She said my liver enzymes are high...??? She is going to re-check me in 30 days :-( But she is positive I just ate something I wasn't suppose to eat. In the meantime, and I do mean "MEAN" time, Mommy isn't going to feed me anymore from the table, and she's cutting back on my snacks!! And I think she's serious, because last night she didn't feed us nothing! not even one tiny bit of her boca-burger! Turns out we are all over-weight too! Poor JackC has the most to lose (3 lbs!) and Rebel needs to get back to his ideal weight (11 lbs.); I only have 1 lb to lose :) I have not doubt w/ all this cutting back, we'll be in tip top shape in no time!
