Arrival Story: After having a wonderful experience in the adoption of Punkin, an ACES rescue, we decided it was the time for a setter sibling for Punkin. We began searching the ACES available dogs looking for that special pup to complement our family. Punkin had a rough start in her life prior to ACES rescuing her and had grown into a beautiful confident dog. So we were looking for a sibling that could teach her how to play doggie games, be a companion and put a spark into her eyes. We had been looking into numerous ACES pups, speaking to foster families for additional info. Then Yoshi (Andy) came available, the moment we saw his pic, we felt a connection. We read his write up...so far just what we were looking for. We spoke to Yoshi's foster mom via e mail and the phone and knew this boy was for us!!!! We wanted desperately to have Yoshi join our family for the holidays. A flight was arranged and Yoshi arrived at Kennedy Airport the Thursday evening before Christmas. Since his arrival he has adjusted to our pet birds, three cats, and Punkin. He is everything that his foster mom said he was and more. Initially I thought we were looking for a companion for Punkin but we found so much more. Yoshi is the happiest, sweetest and most loving little setter. We found a little guy that stole our heart s and brought more joy into our lives. When we first adopted our first setter, Punkin the ACES family shared a little theory about English Setters, The Potato Chip Theory...you can't have just one, well we are so happy to prove that theory right!
Bio: Yoshi, formerly ACES Andy (1424 ) was rescued from an Ohio shelter on his last day. He was loved and sheltered by his foster mom and dad, who taught him all he needed to know about housebreaking and becoming a family member. If you are considering a Setter please consider a rescue : http://www.englishsetterrescue.org /index.html We are so happy that we did!
