Update on My Seizures

Things seemed to be going alright lately (only one or two seizures per month), but then my parents went out of town. I had five seizures in one hour and my aunt tearfully rushed me to the vet. They said she was more upset than I was and did some more bloodwork. It was scary and took me a little while to bounce back, but now I'm fine. (My poor aunt, though, is still recovering from the trauma. Mom owes her a dinner!) My mom is constantly amazed by my ability to not be too distressed over the seizures!

Seizure Updates

Thank you for all the kind wishes & thoughts! We really appreciate it! My vet has given me the status of "a work in progress". We'll take that!

My seizures are a bit more under control. I'm back to having only having one seizure at a time now. And my liver seems to be keeping up.

In other health news, I aggravated my hip dysplasia (the hip that didn't have surgery) by chasing a opossum across the backyard. Stupid opossums.

Rough Morning

I had my worst seizure ever today. It was actually a double seizure and I was...screaming. My mom's never heard a sound like that before. To describe the severity, our neighbor two doors down came over to make sure everything was okay. Now I'm hanging out drinking chicken broth (mmm...meat water) and napping, but my mom's still really concerned. Please send some happy thoughts if you have a moment!

My significant others are my wonderful friends! Sassy Girl & I tend to be friendly Valentines when the opportunity permits because her dad trusts me! Bol!

Not usually, but sometimes my powers of persuasion work out.

This rolly, bouncy, nubby green & white thing. No idea what it is & can't find it in the stores anymore. That's why my mom scrubbed it with a toothbrush after I buried & unburied it!

Typically two, but I let my stomach be my guide.

ICE CREAM TAG!

(Lyle is chocolate chip turtle ice cream...chocolate chip ice cream with caramel and hot fudge swirls. He is self-described "delicious".)

Since I'm not as familiar with ice cream flavors as my dessert-fanatic mom, I asked for her help. She says I'm Choco Choco Chunk, milk chocolate with super-dark chocolate thrown in for some extra pizazz. I said that's not a fair flavor since it's not something I could eat and possibly a comment on my weight. I would go with Chocolate with Chocolate Syrup, a quality brown with extra dark around the edges. Again, not something I could eat, but it just sounds much more svelte.

Ok, team, go get ‘em!

Change of Plans

So instead of having surgery today, I had another seizure. Since it was right before we were leaving the house, my doctor said we should wait on the surgery and we agree. So now I'll be going into the vet this afternoon to discuss treatment options for the seizures since they've continued getting more frequent.

It's difficult trying to prioritize seizures and lumps!

Thank you all so much for the Powers of the Paw! I'll be saving those for my rescheduled surgery (I'll let you know when that will be - hopefully soon)!

And I do have some good news - I have two new cousins! One is a black lab/pit bull mix named Dewey and one is a mini schnauzer/mini poodle mix named Smokey! They found their homes just in time for the holidays!

Surgery Tomorrow

Tomorrow I have surgery for the lump on my belly. Hopefully the biopsy comes back normal and then we'll move on to focusing solely on my seizures!

Any Powers of the Paw would be great tomorrow. I get freaked out by things like this (really, who doesn't?!). And even though it should be routine and I shouldn't even have to spend the night, my mom gets freaked out, too!
