Arrival Story:
We had been wanting an ACD for a while, saw an ad for some in the paper. We knew if we went to see pups, we would end up with one. But we resigned ourselves to the horrible fact of coming home with a fuzzy blue ball of pup! HA! Finn was the last one left in a big litter at a ranch in Huson, MT; supposedly someone had reserved him, but to come a claim him. We couldn't just leave him there! Both of the parents, Patches and Griz, had wonderful temperments. He was a very mellow puppy to the point of being unresponsive to people, but after a couple days of constant snuggling he became quite puppy-like and energetic (i.e. demon dog). We only had him for about a week, when I saw a couple walking another heeler about Finn's age by our house. They have his brother, Sam, and they live just down the street.

Finn's name comes from Irish mythology, Finn McCool was the Irish equivalent of Robin Hood. Plus he is very chill (not anxious) for an ACD!

Forums Motto:
a good ACD is a tired ACD!

IT'S THANKSGIVING TAG!!!! And my first diary post!!

I was tagged by BANDIT!

Here are the rules:
Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play.

Seven Things I’m Thankful For:
1. I'm thankful for my lady and guy walking me everyday in the woods.
2. I'm thankful for butt scratches from my lady.
3. I'm thankful for squeek, squeek, sqeakers!
4. I'm thankful for Dairy Queen vanilla ice cream.
5. I'm thankful for food in my bowl.
6. I'm thankful for my best buddy, Nalis. (He is in my jumping photo)
7. I'm thankful for cat poop.
