Best Tricks:
Sophie can throw a ball high up into the air and then chase it. This is wonderful when I can't throw the ball for her. She plays great all by herself. It's hilarious.

Arrival Story:
The day I went to pick out a puppy at the home of the breeder, I was greeted at the door by about 15 pups and their parents. All of them were barking and running everywhere. It was very comical. The breeder kept each litter in spotlessly clean playpens. At the time she had 3 litters of pups and so I had a hard time choosing the one I wanted. Sophie seemed to be very energetic and had the sweetest little face. She weighed only 1 & 1/2 pounds. The moment I got home with her she found my husband's shoe, crawled inside and went to sleep. Awwwwww!

Bio:
Today has been a very sad day. I had to say goodbye to my sweet girl. Sophie was a gentle, loving companion for almost 14 years. Two weeks ago I learned that her kidneys were failing. I wasn't prepared to say goodbye so quickly but she was not herself and she was having some pain. She wouldn't eat and I decided to make the decision to relieve her of the discomfort she was having. I held her in my arms and kissed her and told her how much I loved her. She passed peacefully. I miss you Sophie and I will never forget how much joy you brought to me and the rest of our family. You will never be forgotten.

After her diagnosis she had several weeks where she felt just terrible. As of today, she is not on any meds....yay! She runs and plays like a puppy and is eating well. She has also gained most of her weight back. We are hoping that this continues and that she will be with us for many more years.

My sweet little Yorkie has been diagnosed with kidney failure and acute pancreatitis. We aren't sure how much time we have left with her. She has lost 2 pounds in a short amount of time and is being monitored by our vet. We will do everything possible to keep her comfortable and take each day as it comes.
