Arrival Story:
A year after my dog from childhood died, I was ready for a new dog. I went to the animal shelter to scope things out and I instantly fell in love with Josie. I got her out so we could play and when I sat down on the ground she crawled into my lap (she's a 60 pound dog who is convinced she is a lap dog) After a few visits and a visit from my parents, we decided to bring her home. She is great.

Bio:
The reason she was taken to the shelter was because she was involved in a hit and run. Someone hit her and broke her hip and leg. They didn't stop and she was stuck in the road when the animal shelter found her. Everything has healed wonderfully.
