Likes:
I love playing tackle with my sister Shelcy.

Pet-Peeves:
I hate, I repeat, HATE being put in the kennel alone. That's why I figured out how to turn the latch and let myself out!

Favorite Toy:
Is Shelcy my toy? Well if she isn't it is my hedgehogs with the squeaky things. I love playing fetch with them.

Favorite Food:
Peanut butter, ummm good! I also like chicken breast jerky....that is crunchy and yummy!

Favorite Walk:
Walk? I can walk around the house, when I get in the open space it is more like a sprint! Mom and dad say I am not supposed to escape and do this anymore, but it is still my favorite!

Best Tricks:
I am great at escaping. I can open latches, I can open windows and I can easily chew and paw through sheetrock and hollow doors, but that is only if I am left with out a playmate!

Arrival Story:
Loki's owner asked us to take Loki in because he could no longer care for him. Loki was destroying cars, doors, and walls to escape and those episodes usually ended with Loki getting picked up by the dog control officer on a regular basis and his owner could not afford that. We agree to take Loki with the mindset that we will "foster" him until a suitable home can be found.

Bio:
Where to start. I have had three homes so far. My first one was very bad and I was glad to leave. I was the sons dog and his parents used to beat me and let their friends use me as a bait dog. The son hated this and gave me to a friend to hold for awhile. Apparently, awhile is a long time, because he still hasn't come back for me and it has been two years! The guy who was holding me was really nice to me. He worked for months with me so I would let people pet me and play with other dogs. The only problem with him was he had to work a lot and he didn't have the time, money or energy to entertain me so I entertained myself by destroying things and running away. Although he loved me, he had to let me go so here I am in home number three! I have to say I miss my last owner, but I love having four-legged friends to play with all day and night!

Thanks for thinking of me Natasha

Here are the rules:

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

Here are 7 fun facts about me-Loki:

1. I am the Lokster of Love Baby...really that is my motto!

2. I was used as a bait dog for pit bull fights in the past. Thank God that is over.

3. I have a girlfriend named Shelcy.

4. I love to steal toys from my siblings, especially Shelcy! Boys always pick on the girls they like, right?

5. I suckered Dad into falling in love with me before I was actually thiers...I ran away from my home and dad found me...when he put me in his truck I snuggled up to him and rested my head on his shoulder! He was a goner from then on!

6. I am not allowed anywhere near cats.

7. I am a big love! A snuggle-bum if you will!

That's it! A few facts about me. I look forward to reading about some of my pawriffic pals!

Foster Brother, Oh Boy!!

I have to admit when mom and dad first mentioned getting a foster brother I wasn't too interested...I figured he would be just another head looking to be pet. Turns out Kota is pretty fun!! He is the energizer bunny...we leap, bound, wrestle and drag each other around for hours on end and when I finally collapse, he is still going! He keeps going, and going, and going!

Being an older brother has its advantages. I get to drag him around mostly and he still looks up to me with admiration. One day, he will be a real dog and he will have me to thank for the many life lessons!

I have a forever home!

GREAT NEWS!

Well, we have great news at the Loki household tonight: me, the problem sibe that they have had for the past six months has found a forever home. Some of you might remember that my owner was pretty much homeless and came to this house with me and told them either they take him or he would shoot me rather than see me rot in a shelter. Well, this great family took me and worked with Tails of the Tundra as an Owner Surender family, knowing they had the option to adopt me out on our own.

That is what they have done....I am in a great home now....they have three other Siberian huskies (all rescues). I absolutely adore one of the females and never leave her side. They have a 6 foot fenced in yard with the necessary strand of electric on top for me. They do not have young children or any cats living with them . I get to go to work with the husband almost daily for at least the morning and I get free roam of the house at night while the other three dogs sleep in the bedroom (they are still working on some personality differences in us dogs). I go on daily walks and the wife is interested in scootering and skijoring with her "team". I am fed a raw diet and seem to be in love with these people. I literally light up around them.

The best news of all is that the forever home is with the people who I was left with! I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE! I am here to stay, for better or worse, I am home. I heard them say that they put blood (a lot unfortunately), sweat and tears into me and this is my home!

How wonderful is this, I finally am HOME ------steak for everyone in celebration!
