Arrival Story:
I adopted Rascal from a no-kill shelter he had been at for a week. Previously to that, he was at a kill shelter and on the list to be euthanized. That shelter had him listed as a "pit mix" and the shelter I got him from said he was a 12 week old "American Staffordshire/Shar-Pei mix". We took him to the vet a few days after adopting him, and 3 vets and 6 vet techs looked him over. Their consensus was that he was a Bullmastiff mix. In addition, they believed he was around 8 weeks old, not 12 weeks. That was 3-4 weeks ago, and first now (1-6-06) are a few of his baby teeth getting loose at all! So, we don't know for sure how young he is or what breeds he is made up of. Any guesses would be greatly appreciated! As of yesterday (1-5-06) he was 28 pounds! With all his baby teeth! lol I have the feeling that he is gonna be a big boy.
