Quick Bio:

September 28th 1987

She loved kissing mama every night and every morning, following mama everywhere, licking the corner of my mouth when I brushed my teeth, telling us it was time to eat by rolling her bowl on the floor or flat out barking

She hated getting her feet wet on walks, yet jumped into the bathtub with me after I finish my shower. She hated really cold weather, so she had to wear a coat. Being ignored.

Favorite Toy:
TENNIS BALLS!!! We still have about 20 of her balls around the house.

Favorite Food:
Anything edible!

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere with her mama.

Best Tricks:
Licking the buggers out of Mommy's nose with her skinny, long tongue

Arrival Story:
Before we knew any better, we bred her mama (Lady Persephone) to my friend's black cocker spaniel, Duke (he was 1o or so). When Lady went into labor, she acted like she had to poop (walking in circles, you all know). When Aubrey and her brother came out, she took one look at them and SHOT out of the room! She couldn't believe the size of those poopies! We cleaned them off and taught her how to suckle. We kept Aubrey because she would pace, leaning on the wall, back and forth for a half hour--we thought she was "crazy" and nobody else would be as patient as we would be. My friend took the other two.

Aubrey PrincessFaceAngel Anne was my shadow. She never left my side, loved barking at big birds, chased helicopters out of the sky above our house (seriously, she DID :). She nearly died of pancreatits in 1998, but after a week in the hospital with me visiting her several times a day, survived (our vet was amazed, said she had nine lives). She was diagnosed with all sorts of horrible things (stage three cancer, another bout with pancreatitis, terribly high blood pressure, slipped disk that nearly made her unable to walk--until cosequin was administered). She took so many pills a day, but she REFUSED to give up the fight. She simply loved her life TOO Much. When she witnessed her younger brother Charlie almost die of a rare blood disorder, she couldn't bear to live with him and her cancer mushroomed and she gave up her will to live and fight. She died on May 10, 2003, at almost 16 years of age. I still miss her more than anything. She truly was my little angel. The photograph of her at the park was taken two weeks before she went to Rainbow Bridge. She dragged Charlie and me around the park, she could run circles around anybody until the week before she died.
