Bon Jour!!

I'm just boning up on my French because I'm off to Montreal this afternoon to visit Adam for the weekend. We're picking up Ora along the way and we're going to PARTY!! Woof, Woof, Woof.

I'm going to stay with Adam so I can play with the guys. I intend to wake them all up in the morning so they will take me for a walk. I can't wait to get a whiff of the smells of St. Laurent. I may even find me a french poodle to play with. They may be tempermental, but what the heck. It's only a weekend.

I miss all the snow and I don't get to go to the park because it's so muddy. Phooey! Now I just walk up to Eglinton, over to Yitz'a where my Daddy picks up bagels and back along Elmsthorpe home. Sometimes we run into Kim and Oscar and I get very excited because they are my favourites. I got mad at Oscar a few weeks ago because he tried to get a biscuit from Donna and he should know those biscuits are only for ME. I'm very tough when it comes to treats - otherwise, the talk around town is that I'm a chicken.

Well, I'd better go and pack my bags.

Wednesday - we're almost there

Today started off very good. I went for my usual walk in the morning and ran into my buddy Oscar, with his Mommy Kim. What a surprise!!!

We don't get to talk too much in the morning so it was lots of fun to have him with me looking for food everywhere. I even forgot why I went for a walk!!!

Tonight I'm looking forward to watching the basketball game with my daddy and perhaps catching a few kernels of popcorn that fall on the ground. That's the best part of the game. When something exciting happens, my dad gets excited and usually some crumbs will fall down. If I act cool, I can carefully find the pieces and eat them before my daddy realizes. Then I go back to sleep like nothing happened. Ten minutes later, I get another chance. An so on and so on.

Lately, I've been sleeping in my daddies bed. It's very comfortable and I can see when he is leaving in the morning. Today I slept in and as a result, we didn't get to our walk until after 7:00 which is probably why we ran into Oscar. That's my new trick. Pretend that I am sleeping in the morning so we go out a little later and then Oscar and I can rendezvous. (That's a schnauzer word)

Happy Valentine's Day

Well, today is Valentine's day and I'm wondering what my daddy has in store for me.

Last night, as an early present, I slept in his bed so he couldn't slip away without me knowing. I woke up early this morning and gave him lots of kisses and he fed me but didn't tell me what the plans were.

Maybe we'll go to Niagara Falls again. I preferred the B & B to the Kennel there, because all the guests at the B & B played with me and let me in their room. I enjoyed sitting by the fire, eating biscuits and snoring.

Last night I heard my daddy talking on the phone with Ora and Adam and I think they may be coming home this weekend. I'd better get ready, so I can bite their toes the minute they come in. They'll be very impressed with how handsome I look since my haircut last week and I'm sure they'll play with me LOTS!!! I can't wait to get into their laundry and take it all over the house with them running after me. That will be a great Valentines Day present!!!

Hump Wednesday

Today I am at the groomers getting handsome. I was able to sneak away and get on Pat's computer to write this diary.

Last night I got scared, all of a sudden, and ran into my daddy's room, where he put me into his bed and I fell asleep there for the rest of the night. It was VERY comfortable there and my daddy had to wake me up this morning for my day at the spa.

I got a big hug and kiss from sarah, but while she was playing with me, my daddy snuck out and although I tried to get to him, he disappeared very quickly, and I was feeling sad ............................... until I got a biscuit.

I think I'm looking very good now (not like the bear I was starting to look like) and can't wait to see all my friends at the park later this afternoon. I hope they'll recognize me. If not, I'll bring my motorcylcle license (it's a fake) to prove who I am.

Well, back to the dryers.

February 6

Well, another Monday is here, and I've had a long day already at home ALL ALONE.

My daddy left this morning and hasn't called home once. I've been listening to the radio all day and so I know all the news, but I'm ready to play and can see some snow outside, so it's time for me to get to the park and see everyone. I made arrangements with big Oscar to meet at the park later on to play and am trying to phone around and arrange a wild party, but can't seem to work this phone.

This past weekend I played with Ling on Saturday and was so tired we both fell asleep on the couch about 11:00. My daddy had to carry me into the car to take me home where I slept in on Sunday. When I went to my daddy's room in the morning, I went into bed with him and slept again!! With all this beauty rest, I will be gorgeous and won't need to go to the groomers (which I understand may happen on Wednesday) Right now, I look like a little bear (or so I'm told) but my daddy says I'll look like a schnauzer again on Wednesday.

Monday, Monday

Whew, that was a busy weekend.

I stayed over with Ling on Saturday night and we played a LOT. We were so tired that by the end of the night last night, we were both sleeping at the door. I was so tired that I went to sleep as soon as I got home and I had to be woken up this morning.

The cleaning lady is here today, so I had to chase the vacuum cleaner a bit (since she laughs when I do that). I heard my day talk about "grooming" yesterday, so i think I may be in for a cust in the next week or so. UGH!!!

I played with my friend Oscar on Saturday and we got so muddy that my daddy threw me into the bathtub when we got home and used all this fresh smelling shampoo on me. I was so embarrassed!!! It was like cologne!!! All of my friends would have laughed at me if they only knew how I looked in the bathtub.

Anyways, a new week is here and I'm hoping for more bones from all my admirers.

a day in the life of Tuckie

yesterday, i had a very eventful day. first of all, i spent most of the night shaking like a leaf so i decided to go into daddy's room and curl up not in his bed, but underneath the bed, in the absolute corner of the room. good thing daddy saw where i went because otherwise, he would have had to call the doggie police to come and find me. it is now my second favorite spot, apart from behind adam's mirror. i spent yesterday night watching the australian open with daddy. in fact, next year im thinking about trying out as a ball boy for the tennis tournament in toronto. i figure, with my ravishing looks and my athletic ball picking up abilities, i would be a great asset to the ball crew. im very excited for Ora and Adam to come home for reading week. I really miss them, and to make up for it, daddy bought me one of those special treats yesterday, which i have been nibbling on for the last few hours. while i absolutely love the taste, it pales in comparison to the taste of adam's socks. i cant wait to see him and bite his feet.

anyways, i need to go back to sleep....and im crossing my fingers that it will be dry enough to go to my favorite park today. hopefully i'll see my best friend and partner in crime (little) oscar, who has been MIA the past few weeks.

January 24

Today I slept in - my daddy had to wake me up to eat. I stayed up very late last night watching the election, as well as a few basketball games.

Earlier I went to vote, but I wasn't allowed because I forgot my voting card. Instead, I played with all the people in line and on the way home I saw Donna who gave me a biscuit, so, all in all, it was a successful venture.

I'm getting pretty messy and I overheard my dad saying that he was going to take me for grooming next week. Maybe I'll get a biscuit when I'm there?

I've got to find a way to get a dogster t-shirt.

Monday Blues

It's back at home for me after a weekend at Niagara on the Lake. I went with all these friendly people to a few winetastings and rather than stay at the hotel, I went to Skyway Kennels to do a little socializing. There was quite a lot of noise at the kennel with these two Irish Setters constantly barking, but I read a little a generally relaxed before I was picked up for the ride home. When I got home, I went for a long walk along the beltline and played with Peppie and Chico and told them about the "trip" Next year, I'm going to try some of the ice wine.

Thursday already?

I can't believe it is already Thursday and almost the end of another week. Whew!

This weekend I am going to Niagara on the Lake with my Daddy because it's the icewine festival. he's already told me I'm not allowed to have any sips.

I'm going to stay for a night in the doggie spa and I'm hoping it's an all inclusive with free drinks etc. I'm told I get a large run, but I'm really only interested in the food.

I really miss the snow these days. It's been very warm and so the snow has melted. I miss going to the park and playing with Peppie, Chico, Oscar (both of them), Mulligan and Cali. Telephone calls to their homes were unreturned.

But the good news is that I am feeling good again and getting into all kinds of trouble, like emptying my daddy's gym bag just before he was getting ready to leave. It would have been funny to see him at the gym without his stuff.
