Arrival Story:
When we got our coon-beagle puppy, Scooter, our college student daughter decided she, too, needed a puppy. She found Bailey at the pound with sign labeling her "Schit-Mix". After caring for the puppy in her apartment, our daughter quickly realized that it was more than she could manage. She asked us to "baby sit" while she searched for a suitable owner. (is she smart, or what?) Of course, the two puppies bonded and became best pals. This mommy became very attached to Bailey, and despite the daddy's adamant claim that we would NOT have another dog, Bailey became a member of our menagerie. And yes, the Daddy is glad now, too.

Bio:
Bailey is definitely NOT a "Schit-mix". As best we can determine, she is a Border Collie and maybe Pekingnese and other stuff mix. She has an adorable underbite and bowed legs. She is very smart; she learns commands and body language quickly. She also has significant herding instincts: she even herds Scooter, much to his chagrin. Bailey watches diligently out the kitchen window for squirrels that are interested our bird feeders. Any brave ones are quickly treed and chastised. APRIL 18 UPDATE: Bailey has been very sick, but is recovering. We got her on the right antibiotics, and she is back to her old frisky self. Thank you for all your prayers.
