I wanted to let you all know how I've been doing. In a word: Great! I started actually attending puppy kindergarten classes last week. It was great having so many new butts to sniff. I tried to tell my human to let me off that leash so that I could romp with that cute husky across the room, but she seemed to think it would be too distracting. I decided to teach her a lesson or two by doing everyting she asked of me when people were distracted, but ignoring her when we were on the spot!

Yesterday Mom and Dad went to Quarry lakes with Zeus and his humans for a nice long walk. I think I bounced the whole way! Everybody is amazed by how much energy I have. I do my best to keep fit... I wasn't allowed in the water, which is brutal for a lab. I figured out that I don't mind hopping in the shower with Mom or Dad, but if you try to close that door and soap me up, I'm outta there! They tried that the other day after I let the bulldog down stairs "mark" me. I screamed and screamed, trying to get them to stop. Somehow they managed to finish despite my monsterous bark. Note to self: Work on making bark even more terrifying.

Everything else is great! I turned 12 (weeks anyway) Friday and weighed about 22 lbs. I'm growing so fast! I can't wait until I'm big enough to wrestle with Zeus off leash! Maybe then he can't dodge my slobbery kisses!

I'm getting too old for this...

I've been at my new home for a while now. I may only be 12 weeks, but I'm sure growing up! Can you believe I've gained 5 lbs. since I arrived?! Sure, that may not sound like much, but I was 15 lbs... that means I've gained 1/3 of my body weight! (Or so they say... my paws were never designed for calculators or pencils!)

I'm also learning quickly... at least I let them think so. I can understand most of what they want me to do, but the sooner I let on, the sooner I'll stop getting treats for doing it right! So far I know sit, down, heel, and shake. Sometimes I shake when they say down, just to confuse them. I also give them that adorable "I'm confused" look they love so much when they tell me to sit from a down position. It's all fun and games from here, but it sure makes them happy to see me do my tricks!

I've sharpened my chewing skills quite a bit, and my bark is bigger than I am! No more calling it a "yip!" Other than that life is going just great. I begin puppy kindergarten classes this week. I'll let you know how that goes! This whole "I really don't understand what you want me to do" act will probably come to an end when my competitive edge takes over. Just you wait you wait you little fur balls!

I'm home!

I've been in my new home for about a week now, and I'm starting to get it all figured out! My new mom and dad may sound tough, but they're actually softies! Can you believe they give me treats for going potty?! Even on the sidewalk! It's like they're just so thrilled that I'm not going on the carpet! I just want to tell them not to worry... I know perfectly well that carpet isn't for pottying.. it's for eating!

My old mom (I think her name is Breeder) packed up a lot of my toys to come with me to this new house. Can you believe she packed that same cheeky ball I was telling you about?! I just can't shake it!Just you wait! I'll show it I'm boss!

Other than that and my ongoing battle with mom and dad over the domination of the toilet paper roll in the bathroom, things have been pretty calm! I made a new friend named Zeus. He may be a big European boxer, but he's a kitty inside. He lets me walk all over him!

That's all for today! Oh, and for the record... don't let those cutesy Christmas photos fool you... I'm as furrrr-ocious as ever! That present had it coming...
