Arrival Story: I'm CRAZY about dogs !!! But I haven't had a dog since I was a kid. The "LATEST" excuse (this time) was that "the Landlord wouldn't allow it..." On my desk at work, I'm one of those people with pictures of dogs ALL over the place. People would always stop by and ask: "What kind of dog do you have?" And much to their surprise, I would have to answer painfully: "I don't have one..." = (
Well, ALL of that changed in September 2005 !
A friend of mine sent me an email and a photo of an 8-week old, male Maltese puppy in need of a home. My friend KNEW that I was holding out for a Maltese, because I had fallen in love with one of the two Maltese that she herself owned... I always thought that I would have to go to S. California and find a Maltese breeder down there (which would be a 7-hour drive from my house). But the moment I saw his little face, I was so totally hooked! I told my friend that I would come over right away and claim the little orphan for my very own. He was one of 2 brothers, and the owner had decided that she couldn't care for BOTH of the puppies adequately at the same time. THANK GOD, BECAUSE HE'S ALL MINE NOW !

"Bam-Bam" was the 1st born of the litter and the largest of all his siblings. His parents are full-blooded, AKC registered Maltese.
He lives in the sunny (and WAY too expensive!) San Francisco Bay Area with his Mommy, Daddy and "human" brother, Mason. So far, he has no "animal" brothers or sisters, so he's spoiled and gets undivided attention from everybody in the house. One day soon however, he'll get a girlfriend (or two !) to occupy his time. But for now, his Mommy is EXTREMELY protective of him, so he's strictly a house dog.
Forums Motto: Sure I'm pretty, but I'm BAD TO THE BONE
HEY! YOU KNOW THAT IT'S GOT TO BE TRUE LOVE IF I CAN PICK UP YOUR POOP AND THINK NOTHING OF IT ! ! !
TO: My Dear, MOST precious "BAM-BAM"
I was gonna write some long, drawn out thing about how you give me unconditional love and something about your beautiful Maltese face, and yada, yada, yada...
But the bottom line is simply this:
I told my husband Larry, that if ANYTHING were to happen to you, that they might as well dig the grave a little deeper and put me in there right along beside you...
BECAUSE IT WOULD KILL ME ! ! !
You ARE (without a doubt), "THE LOVE OF MY LIFE..." and most definitely a gift from the Heavens above...
(I mean, how else could you be soooooooooo perfect?)
With ALL My Love,
Your "human" mommy, Sandy
(P.S. Thank you for all you've taught me and for the "TIME OF MY LIFE !"
oh and also, I'm REALLY sorry about that neutering thingie...but it was for your own good...I promise!)
She starts her new job soon... But I will be sad cuz I have to stay home by myself now. I have never had to do that... She has been home everyday with me since I was a baby, when I first got here. She has a neighbor who likes me very much and she said she would come over and play with me a little during the day, until Mommy gets home.
Now that Mommy has a new job, she says one day she will get me a girlfriend to live here, too. That way, I won't be so lonely during the day while Mommy is gone...
