Arrival Story:
My dad finally agreed to let me get my own dog, it took some convincing. I went up to look at a litter of labs. Sydney was the last one. He was the biggest of the litter and had a chunck of his ear bit off by a litter mate. It was love at first sight. He was a big claud. He was my first lab and definitely made me love the breed. He never hurt a thing, he was like the mother hen of the family. Always taking in the babies and making sure they were taken care of. He always had allergies, but as he got older he came down with a condition, he became allergic to the bacteria that was naturally in his skin. He was on antibiotics for the rest of his life. I had to make a very hard decision in the end, the most important thing to me was that he not suffer. And in the end I believe I made the right decision at the right time.
