 Quick Bio:
Likes: Mostly...that I have a family to call my own.

Pet-Peeves: My new neighbor dogs, they bark so much and I don't think they know how good they really have it. Beats rescue life!

Favorite Toy: I never really had toys, I have lots of stuffed animals around my new bed but I don't have a favorite.

Favorite Food: Danish Butter Cookies...when I can have them!

Favorite Walk: The back yard is ginormous...so that is a lot of excercise for an old guy like me. I also like to walk with my new human around the neighborhood. It's so nice!

Best Tricks: Because of my arthritis, I don't do many tricks...I can smile!

Arrival Story: I can't believe my luck! My best friend, Callie, was adopted from our rescue a year ago in December. Her human's parents, lost their dog and were very sad.
Luckily, Callie's Mom thought of me as a new companion for her parents, to take away the blues of losing their dearly departed companion, Chenzi.
I was brought over to "meet" my new humans on 12/29/05 and by New Year's Eve, they loved me so much, they decided to adopt me!

Bio: I was rescued from the pound as a puppy by Diane of Friends for Pets in Sun Valley. They took care of me for over a decade and I really love them for everything.
I've never known anything but shelter life...I have arthritis and a defective hind leg...plus I use to get very nervous and anxious around people, still do a bit now. I've worked real hard on being more social and confidant. I guess you can say that I'm a late bloomer. My friend Helen started taking me to the dog park 4 years ago, a few times a week. I was very scared but soon became the ambassador of FFP at the park. They called me the "Cary Grant" of the group.
All that work really paid off, I was able to really impress my potential new humans last week, I knew how crutial the meeting was going to be.
My now, NEW FAMILY, saw past my flaws and just saw me...they call me an angel, beautiful, handsome, sweet, gentle, picture perfect and a doll...I can't get enough. Having my own family to love me and appreciate my gifts is more than I could ever want in life! I'm the KING OF THE WORLD!

Forums Motto: It's never too late to find love...

Special Thanks: To Friends for Pets Founder, Diane and Volunteer Helen for loving me, caring for me and for your undying faith and care. I love you and appreciate everything!

My Mom and Dad noticed that I wasn't able to mark my territory anymore. No pee would come out and I would wince with pain. Mom immediately called Patty, who said that I needed to get to the vet right away. The vet office was a scary place but I knew that I was going to get help. Dr. Yamaguchi said that I needed to get to a specialist for immediate surgery.
I was driven to Cypress where I was admitted for surgery due to crystalization of my urine.
I had a blockage and had to stay at the ER overnight where they drained my bladder for me and cleared the blockage out of my urethra. It was such a relief to finally be able to relieve myself!
The vets found that I have some small stones in my kidney too. I am on medication for the rest of my life but let me tell ya, I can run with the best of them now!!! I feel 10 years younger!
My humans spent so much money to get me all better and I'm so grateful to them for not giving up on me.

Am I dreaming? Is this really happening?
Everyday I wake up...warm, comfortable and rested. I go out in my big yard and sit next to my human, watch the wind blow the leaves on the fruit trees. I eat, go get the mail...get lots of love. My humans smile because they say I literally jump for joy everyday.
This life...it's too good to be true. I've waited 13 years for a life like this.
Things I love...
My bed is my most prized posession. I love to fuss with the blankets and make my bed for 10 minutes at a time. I also love my baths. My coat just shines and I feel so proud and handsome. I show off on our daily walks. Strangers stop to talk to my humans about me and how handsome I am. With each passing walk, I get stronger and more energetic. I really look forward to walks.
Life is unreal but my new family says that I deserve it. That I'm a good boy! Well...they are good humans who I will be forever grateful for.

What are "STAIRS"?
My new parents walk up into the sky each night on these "stairs"...I've never seen anything quite like it. I'm not sure how they do it.
I tried to step up one...then changed my mind. I'll stick to my bed...I feel safer on the ground.
