Likes:
I enjoy looking for squirrels, or rodents in the yard. Also getting massages from my humans, and checking for trash.
Pet-Peeves:
I don't like loud noises, or to be groomed in any way. I can squirm my body into many positions to get away from anyone who is trying to groom me. I also hate rain storms with loud noises!!
Favorite Toy:
RedDog and Kirby are all I really play with. I like to stalk them in the yard.
Favorite Food:
Much to Mommy and Daddy's dismay, my favorite food is the other dogs' "waste" in the backyard. They think this is VERY GROSS, but the way I look at it, I'm only helping, as it's less to clean up. Right?
Favorite Walk:
I enjoy jumping our fence and running through the neighborhood. If I see Mommy or Daddy coming to play tag, I'll stand really still, and then bolt when they get within tagging reach. They get very frustrated when I win this game.
Best Tricks:
I can scale our 6 foot privacy fence. Though I haven't been able to do this in a long time. Mommy put some collar on me that beeps if I get too close. I don't like this!!! I also sing beautifully when I hear a siren.
Arrival Story:
Mommy says she used to have another English Setter before me, and when he
"went away", some friends found me on line through "Aces english setter rescue". Mommy drove from NC to VA to meet some people who I had been living with, and I went home with her. It was hard adjusting to my new home. I didn't understand why I was with the new people, and always tried to leave to go back to the other place I lived. But I like it here now, and I guess I'll stick around.
Bio:
Because of my love for running, at the first home I lived at, I got away, and was hit by one of those fast moving box things, called "cars". It broke my butt bone, and now my tail doesn't wag, it just hangs there. Mom thinks it caused some brain damage too, as I do strange things like scratch the carpet, bark hysterically, and I'm double jointed in my shoulders, so I can sit really straight and move them out. I have to take special medicine to help keep me calm, cause I get really stressed very easy. Mom says I'm lucky she found me, cause no one else wanted me. Since I always wanted to run.
After my first family couldn't get me to stop, they sent me to rescue. I went through many foster homes, and the last one I was in, I stayed at for over a year before I came to live with Mommy. She thinks that's why I have so many strange behaviors. She says she loves me even though she calls me her whack job.
