Buster Bu's Memoirs

My last entry- Thnks world it was fun while it lasted!!!

I am writing for the last time for Buster Bu today 6/9/06.

He was laid to rest on 6/8/06. His IBD seemed to be not the only problem he had. We think and the vet agreed that Buster most likely had Lyphoma in the intestines or bowel.

He was only 42 lbs yesterday and he was 48lbs a month ago! We knew it was time to let him go....but it wasn't an easy choice. We just didn't want him to suffer or have any pain. The Pred was causing him to shake, urinate, and just be "spacey"! That was no longer our Buster Bu, it was a medicated Buster. That's no way for him to live.

Buster Bu you will be forever remembered and loved!!

I know what I have that is making me so sick!!!!

Well, my fellow four-legged friends. I know what I have that makes me so sick. I got really sick a month ago and was even hospitalized for a day to under go an endoscopic test/biopsy.

The results:
I have a really bad case of Irritable Bowel Diease!!!! On a scale of 1-4, I'm a 4 which is BAD....really bad!!!!!

So now I'm on the canned formula of Duck & Oatmeal by Eagle Pack. I have to take Pred pills every 12hrs, and another pill to prevent ulcers every 8hrs.

My weight has really gone down and not to a good place either. BUT my attitude is 100% back and I'm up to my old hunting/hiding spots in the back yard.

My mommy and daddy hopes that I'll start to put weight back on soon. Don't know what else to do to help that process??? Since I can only have the special food now??!?!?!?!?

Recovery but never normal again here I come.......................

I just had to share the news. My mom & dad may have figured out what makes me sick sometimes. They realized the connection between this time & last time. I went to see my friend Junior & my mom's parents in Northern WI a few weeks prior to getting sick- BOTH TIMES.
They have well water and I drink filtered city water- BINGO!!!!!

I am now back up in weight- going for a weight check tomorrow I think???
I have been eating this awesome food by Merrick Pet Supply from Texas. They have canned & dry- all holistic/natural. I have one word to say about thier food..............YUMMY!!!!!!!
