Favorite Food: Wellness CORE Ocean, Pet Botanics roll up treats(he loves doing training with these), whip cream(he knows the sound of it spraying), and piggie ears
Favorite Walk: Hiking in the mountains (he really likes to go on a hike with water), the lake to chase fish, doggie park
Best Tricks: Jesse knows way too many tricks to name them all, but a few are: Hand stand, back up and reverse, Piss (cocks his leg), Sit up, scratch me, roll-over, bang, beg, speak, whisper, wave, twirl, bite me, piggy back, catch(ball in mouth), and paw
Arrival Story: When I lived in England I found a Jack Russell terrier. I knew who it belonged to, but the owner was in the states, and was left with no one to look after him. I knew his name was Fraiser, so I looked after him. I fell in love with him and was heart broken when his owner came to retrieve him. Shortly after that we moved back to the states to Phoenix. Ever since then I have always wanted a Jack russell, but my Dad believed that one dog was enough. 5 years passed and I still wanted a Jack russell, so I asked for one for my 16th birthday. My parents were sceptical because they thought a puppy was a big responsibility. A month before my birthday I found a chihuahua/corgi mix puppy and we kept it for 5 days, all the while trying to find it's home. On the 5th day his owner's called and we dropped Dodger off at his home. When we were driving back home my dad said, "It's a good thing you still have some of that puppy food because we are going to need it!" I was so excited! After that I found a Jack Russell terrier shortie breeder in scottsdale and we called them up to see if they had any male puppies available. To our surprise they just had a litter born a few days ago with 2 puppies, 1 girl and 1 boy. When the puppy was 3 weeks old we went to visit him. I fell in love with him when I held him and he suckled on my finger. My parents filled out the paper work, and we saw him every week until he turned 8 weeks old. We picked him up a week after my birthday. He was so cute in the car on the way home. We stopped at the Central credit union and I got to bring him inside. He slept on my lap while we were waiting. When we got home that night I had a blast with him. We went for a nice long walk, played with some squeaky toys, and when it got late we hopped on my bed and he curled up on my chest and fell asleep.
Bio: Jesse is a wonderful best friend. One of his favorite games is playing with balloons. I blow them up and he barks like crazy and jumps in the air to pop them. He loves to play hide-and-seek and find it. He also loves to chase things, and has a blast at JRT Fun Days where he can do JRT racing, and lure coursing. He likes to track fox tails and will follow a scent and bark when he has found it. Whenever he is wet he gets the zoomies, and runs around the house like a freak barking and growling cute puppy growls. When he is in turbo mode he turns into a white bullet and will race around the house with the closest thing he can reach in his mouth. When Jesse was a puppy I made an agility course with items around the house. He zipped right through it with a huge amount of energy and speed! I now have a real agility course and he loves it. Jesse also loves chasing feather cat toys and will jump really high just to try and catch it. Jesse got the nickname Squeaker because any toy with a squeaker will be destroyed in less than 5 minutes. I have yet to find a toy that cannot be desqueaked by Jesse. He loves anything rubber and adores playing fetch. All of the kids in the neighborhood adore Jesse and love petting him and watching him perform his vast array of tricks. Jesse is a love bug and loves to cuddle and give kisses. The thing I love about Jacks is that they are always up for an adventure, and love to go anywhere with you even if it is something as simple as taking out the trash! Jesse lives everyday to its fullest as is the best Jack Russell I could have ever wished for. Jesse is now 2 yrs old, and he still never seices to amaze me. I love my Jack Russell Terrier Jesse!
