Arrival Story:
After begging DH for several years he finally agreed to let the family have a dog. We typed all the criteria we looking for in a dog and Rat Terrier came up. It occurred to me that DH's aunt in California was a breeder of RT's. After a quick call we found out that she did not have any puppies at the time so she referred us to a breeder friend in Alabama. We looked at Arwen on the Internet and it was love at first site. After several phone visits with the breeder she flew out here with her sister who went to live with gran'ma and gran'pa!

Bio:
Arwen got parvo when she was in Colorado only a few days. After 3 days in the hospital she came home but without the diagnosis of parvo. Her daddy did not want to pay the $1300 vet bill and said she would have to stay at the hospital. (He was not a dog lover at that time) Grandpa came to the rescue and paid the bill. A few days later Arwen's sister came down with the same symptoms and it turned out it was parvo. She did not make it though. Arwen has gone on to become a UKC Champion and is now learning agility. Oh yes, Daddy has become a canine convert! If Arwen gets sick again he will mortage the house to pay her bill!
