Life's been good for me

Well it's been a good life my friends, but it's time for me to go to the bridge. My legs are very tired, and getting up is just too much for me anymore. I know mom is sad, but she's made me very happy for the past 4 yours. As you can see from my pictures, she's given me a good ending to a long life. 14 years is enough. For all you at the bridge, look for me, I'll be there in a few hours. For all you staying on this side, go give your humans a big lick in the face. I'll sure miss mine.

Well, I get to go to work with mommy a lot now. Seems I have some issues with my left side, and being able to control it. I do ok for the most part, but sometimes I fall down. The vet dr.s originally thought it was a disc problem, but one of the vet's and mom are pretty sure it's something more. I try to hide it from her as much as possible, but it's a hard. She knows my days are numbered, and it's sad for her, but on the plus side, I get almost anything I want. All the other dogs are jealous. At almost 14, I think I deserve it. I know I've only been with my momma for a little over 3 years, but these have been the best. I hope she won't be too sad when I'm gone. Sometimes I just get really tired, but I'll keep trying as long as this body holds out. Life is just too good not to!

Finally!

I got to go to work with Mommy today, I got to go to work with Mommy today, high ho the dairy-o I got to go to work with her today!!!!!
I usually sucker her into taking me at least 3 or 4 times a week. See she feels sorry for me cause I'm old, but since Lucy had her surgery, I haven't been to work with her for OVER a week!!!! Well, I told Lucy she better start acting like she's good as new! So I velcroed myself to Mommy this morning as soon as she got up, and suckered her with those eyes of mine, and she took me!!! Hooray!!! I love being with Mommy all day, even if she does hollar at me when I wander off. Sometimes I just forget. Surely you old guys know how this is. And of course she hollars, cause she thinks I'm deaf. Of course I'm deaf, she keeps hollaring. Actually she gets up and leaves her desk while I'm sleeping, and then I wake up and she's gone, I just go looking for her. It's not my fault I end up in an exam room with another dog, who just had to bark like I was going to kill him, needless to say, Mom wasn't in there, and I got tied up in her office. But at least I got to go!!!!
