Arrival Story:
He was my mother's dog, but because of her traveling a lot for her job, he came to live with me. She's no longer traveling, but he is so attached to the other dogs (and me to him), that I don't want to give him up!

Bio:
My mother let me name the puppy, so Ronnie Darling was named after the Mets pitcher in the 80's, whom I had a huge crush on. Unfortunately, Ronnie the dog does not live up to his namesake. Although he is lovable, playful, and fun, he not as courageous as his dachshund brothers and sister. He is an oversized Pom--a whopping 16 pounds and he towers over the dachshunds, yet he lets them take all his treats and toys away from him without so much as a growl. I have to fend off the weiners for him just so he can get a chew treat. His philosophy is "I'm a lover, not a fighter."
