Arrival Story:
We rescued Ben from the local Golden rescue in September. He had been surrendered to a shelter, papers in hand and then spent the next 3 months with a koo-koo foster parent. I wasn't sure if I was ready to love another dog--In Oct. 2004 I lost my true first love to cancer at the age of 10 and it was heartbreaking. But... we decided to just "look" at some goldens and see how we felt. We planned to keep Ben for a day or so and figured we would know one way or the other. He hopped in the back seat of my car and settled in. On the way home he got up, leaned over the driver seat and licked my ear. That was it. He is a real sweatheart and we love him.
Bio:
He is a big goofy English Golden Retriver. He doesn't bark and he eats his food one morsel by one.
