Buddy's Life

New Brother!

I was so excited, he was the best toy mom ever got me! His name was Anubis. I guess he wasn't so much a toy, but a great playmate. He moved in with me in May 2006. He's a 3 year old Basenji. We get along great. We play together, eat together, and sleep together. But he can be a bit moody sometimes. Now I just got to get mom to get some pictures of him on my site.

A day at the pound

It was another sunny day outside. But I was stuck inside and could
only get a glimpse of the sun coming up as I stuck my little nose
through the fence. I was in the pound, the pound for puppies.
Just the day before my best friend in the pound had found his new
family. Was I ever going to find my new family???

Well I had lost all track of time. I was resting my head on my legs
when I heard a noise coming from the back of the pound. Somebody had
just walked in!!! I could here talking…and I could hear the other
doggies barking. "Pick me!!!" "I will Love you" "I only bite ugly
boyfriends” Then a dark shadow appeared over my cage… as the being
came into the light… it was a young female. She had a huge smile on
her face… my tail started wagging and wouldn't stop… She opened my
cage… I darted into her arms and she picked me… we then went
outside... I couldn't stop running around… I was free and had a new
home. Somebody did love me… I was going to be a part of a family
again…. And as we got outside into the sunlight… I heard her say, "I
found my new Buddy"…. And that is me!!!!
