 Quick Bio:
Likes: Trips to the dog park, trips to dog beach, trips to the pet store, trips in the car going just about anywhere really! Paddling pools, playing tug of war, chasing Mom down the hall when she's taking the trash out.

Pet-Peeves: Baths, doing anything he doesn't want to do, not being the center of attention, the kitten (Harley) that never leaves him alone, being moved once asleep, and mornings (like Mom!)

Favorite Toy: Anything stuffed, fluffy and squeaky that he can rip into and get the squeaker! And his rope, chews, and tennis balls.

Favorite Food: Chicken and his kibble (Nutro Natural Choice Wholesome Oatmeal for sensitive stomachs)

Favorite Walk: Walking with his Mom and the 'other dog', Freeway, to the Coffee Bean around the corner.

Arrival Story: He was homeless and wandering the streets of L.A. as a puppy, crying and forlorn, when I came across him on La Brea (my lucky day!) and without a second thought I scooped him up and took him home. No one ever claimed him and the rest is history.......

Bio: Fang spent much of his puppyhood in Santa Monica where his college student Mom waited tables at the Brewhouse Pub. He likes to reminisce about his old haunts on the promenade and the pretty girl Pit Bull down the way at the cigar shop, not to forget the time Jewel came into the pub (he was quite starstruck!)

I'm racing around doing the downward dog bow (my yoga) 'cos Mom just told me we're going to the park and that Stein and Chewie my neighbors are there. I love Stein and Chewie! I love Stein and Chewie (really I just like to feel recognized and special at the park!) I can't stop running in circles, and the cats are looking at me like they are God's gift to humans. Little do they know. Just becasue I express myself, and don't have severe repression issues like them. I learn a lot of this lingo from my Mom.
I really need a break today. I lost my sister Tabitha a couple of weeks ago. She was a teddybear hamster, and she was mine. I nosed her around when she played outside of her house, and we ate snacks together. She'd crawl on my head and nose and I'd go cross-eyed trying to see her. I'll miss her. I still have my other pets - 2 fancy rats and a mouse. They're pretty cool. I have to keep them in line 9-5, days get pretty long. Ruff and Ratty like to share my kibble. I go along with it just because they know no better, and I'm pretty cool like that. The bi-peds around here gave me the alias of 'James Dean'. I don't get it.
So, me and my mad brother, Freeway (an 8 pound rat, I mean yorkie), hurry and eat our broiled chicken and kibble, and then get our gear on, and try and pull Mom at high speed down the hall, getting all our leashes tangled, and we have a competition to see who can make her yell first. Freeway usually wins.
Then as the car winds up the hill to the park, I start whining and jumping around, and Mom does her usual "Allllllmost there" over and over till I can't take it.......then we finally get there!!!!!! We take our bi-ped into the park at top speed leaving her little time to lock the car and hold onto her coffee, and then leashes are off, and we're gone! Stein came over and chewed on my head and Chewie and I were jumping all over each other. We hung out in the pool area (only the coolest select few get in there) for a while. Freeway was all reclusive for the first hour, he thinks he's a rock star. Then he stalks me and pounces, running from nowhere, full on nipping at me. It is sooo embarrassing. I act really nonchalant about it and use a little reverse psychology on him. I think that gets to him more.
Then it's time to go, and I make one more trip to the pool - I like my routine, and I really like to get Mom's car all dirty! I'm bummed we're leaving, but I know it means that when I get home there will be treats, greenies, and then a long nap. The best is when Mom puts a movie in or sits down to do some work and we all hang out together watching t.v. in the living room. Sometimes she'll have to get the vacuum out and I pretend it's a monster and chase it and attack it. And if Mom's really feeling playful, she'll get out our toys and we'll play endless tug of war and fetch. Of course Freeway just gets super loud and always wants what I have, so I have to be extra tolerant and usually give in. Truth be told, I can give in so easily, 'cos he knows I could eat him in one bite! I hope Mom doesn't read that!!!
Okay nap time...then maybe we can take a trip to the pet store or something. I need to do some shopping.
