Today, Topaz had to leave us. He had been sick for months and months, since Sassy passed away in August, and today Mom took him to the vet to help him be at peace.

I miss him.

Today is E's Birthday!!

Although we didn't know it on October 6, 2005, Emerson was born on this day to his mom Chrystal and his dad Ying Yang at Birdwalk Farm in Crossville, Tennessee.

A few weeks later, I found Birdwalk Farms on the internet while looking for a cockapoo puppy, told Lucille Baily about my grief of losing Jesse, and she sent me a photo of Emerson. She thought he would be a good match for me. She invited me to come visit Birdwalk on October 27, and I got to see Emerson and take some pictures (and I paid a deposit because by then I was completely in love with him!), she continued to send me a weekly photo to see how he was growing, and on November 22, Steve, Ian and I drove to Crossville to pick him up.

He has brought happiness to my life every day since then. He is perfect.

Is Grooming For Me?

I am wondering about grooming Emerson myself. His groomer, Melanie, has eluded that she is really tired and is cutting back on her work, so I feel the need to be prepared that she may not be working at some point. Taking him to PetSmart? Nah, don't think so.

I think I will learn to groom E myself, it couldn't be that difficult!!
