A walk in the woods

Mom and Dad's been on vacation this week and it's been nice to have them home so much. Mom and Paige spent alot of time outside with the horses but that was ok. I got to sleep any where I wanted to. My favorite place is under a blanket on the couch.

One thing I'm not happy about is that Mom decided to put me on a diet. Yuck!!! She says I'm getting to fat from all the extra treats us dogs get. She cut down on them and I miss them....

Anyways yesterday we all went for a walk in the woods on a trail. It was very exciting. Bo and Dad led the way and me and Paige and Petey and Mom followed. At first it was fun but then it was getting tireing. My feet were starting to hurt and I was getting tired. Paige carried me now and then but in the end I wish she would of carried me all the way home. Petey *Snarls* was just being a show off with his wanting to walk the whole time.. So what if that old dog got more energy then me. Mom carried him on and off even though he wanted to walk. She knew he was just being a show off. It was fun though and when we got home Mom gave us all a treat and we layed down and rested while she, Dad, and Paige all went out in the truck.

It was a fun time for us dogs to go out into the wild and smell all the different odors but I would never want to have to be out there at night or alone without my humans.

I'm Baaaaaacccck

Hi all you pups and humans! I'm back and ready to tell you some stories about me and my family. And yes I will be adding new pictures of me, but don't laugh, I added a few pounds. I can't help it if I love food. Dog food or people food it's all good to me. *licks chops*

Scary Business

This pass weekend Mom found a lump on my belly and got all upset about it. I saw tears come out of her eyes when she talked to Dad about it, so today when she got home from work we rushed right out to the vet to have her look at it. I was awfully scared. I shivered so hard my hair was falling out of me and when Mom put me on the examining table I thought I was going to faint. I tried to climb into Mom's arms but she made me stand on the table while the vet felt my belly.

Well it turned out just fine! It was just some fatty build up and the vet said it was nothing and Mom didn't need to worry at all about it, but then she told the vet she wanted to get me spaded. Oh oh I know what that is. Bo told me all about it when he got neutered. He said for a girl it was called getting spaded and it was not fun at all. But anyways that won't be for a couple of weeks.

Mom was so happy when we got out in the car she hugged me and kissed me so much I thought she would never stop. She even sang a little song about me and her on the way home and when we got in the house she sang some more only with all the others on the bed singing along. We was all so happy.

A Brand New Game!

Just stopping by to tell you about my new game I play. I call it "I got the bone now chase me!" I get one of our many rawhide bones and I tease Bo with it until he desides to chase me. We run around the coffee table like crazy and then all of a sudden Bo deside he's going to trick me and he jumps up on the table and looks down at me. I then run under the couch with the bone and Bo pretends to give up. I come out from under the couch and bark softly at him until he chases me again and then we go around the table again. Bo always tires of this game before me and jumps up on the couch to sleep.

Sometimes he fools me and when I drop the bone he rushes at me taking it and hides under the couch to chew on it and then that's the end of that game.

Oh well, it's fun and Mom says it's good exercise for us and it make her laugh.

Bath Day, oh no!!!!

It was bath day the other day for us dogs. Ben took it well because he's use to baths. He says he's been getting them since he was a pup 11 years ago. To me and Bo it was as scary as..... as going to the vet!

Mom found a couple of fleas on Ben and so she said it was time for a flea bath. Thanks Ben.... NOT!!!

When Mom put me in the wart in the kitchen sink I thought for sure I would drown (even if it was on 1 inch deep) and the soap! Yuck!!! Well I got pass it and so didn't Bo. Together we rolled on the livingroom carpet until we felt better. Ha, we got Moms floor all wet! How do you like us now Mom?!

Meeting Aunty Denise

Today Mom took me out to where she worked to meet some of the people she works with. They were all so nice to talking soft and holding the way I like to be held, but each time and person I was very glad to be back in my moms arms. One of the ladies she showed me off to I remember meeting once before when I was very young. Her name was Aunty Denise. At least that was what Mom called her. She says she loves me so much that it only seems right for me to call her my Aunty Denise. One day if I ever have babies she says she wants one.

Besides meeting people Mom let me sniff around where she works. It smell kind of yucky. There were smells of dirty clothes and clean clothes. It was a noisey place with huge machines washing and drying clothes.

I also saw Dad there, but I was so busy smelling around that I hardly even noticed him. We didn't stay long. Soon we were back in the car with me in Mom's lap just like on the way up there. When we got home I told the boys about it it and they were quite jealous of me.... he he he.

Well that was my adventure today. It was fun, but I was glad to be home again.

I'm A Member Of The Doghouse Runway

I'm so proud and excited! I'm now a member of the Doghouse Runway. It's my first ever group. They must of saw me in my beautiful winter sweater. Well now Mom will just have to get me summer clothes. After all, now that I'm in this group I have to stay fashionable.

Got to go now. I'm going to go nose around in the group and meet some of the others.

A Beautiful Day

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! It was the weekend and Mom stayed home with us. She and Dad busied themself in the early morning cleaning. They even made Dad's little girl Paige, who comes to visit us on weekends, clean her room. Gosh I don't know what the fuss about a clean house is, but this goes on every Saturday. Anyways, by mid morning Aunty Linda came to visit. Most of the time when she comes Mom usually goes away with her, but this time they stayed home.

It was so nice outside that we all went out on the deck to do our visiting. Well Mom's visiting. It was nice and warm out there so me and Bo enjoyed ourselves sunbathing. I think Ben thought it was a little too warm, but he wanted to be with Mom, so he laid in the shade. Mom tried to let Kato out with us but he kept climbing over the gate she had put up to keep us up on the deck.

By noon we all went inside to have a bite to eat. Mom and Aunty Linda had crackers and cheese with ice coffee and us dogs begged. Well our begging got us each a cracker. Me and Ben ate ours, but Bo didn't care for his so he left it in the hall to the bedrooms. I ate mine and wanted more, so I started to go to get Bo's, but he stopped me. Mom and Aunty Linda were watching but didn't stop either one of us. Everytime I went near Bo's cracker he would get between it and me and growl and they laughed. I wasn't about to let that stop me, I wanted that cracker!

All of a sudden I saw my chance and I ran for it. I was able to get to it before Bo got to me. I grabbed it and I ran. I ran into the bedroom and under the bed. Bo chased me, but stopped when I got to the bed. I heard Mom and Aunty Linda laughing and even I had to laugh myself! that cracker sure tasted good. Even better then mine did.

After lunch we went back outside for a while. this time we all walked around. Mom showed Aunty Linda all that she and Dad did and talked of what they plan to do. Aunty Linda was amazed how well we all behaved and stayed close to Mom.

Later on after Aunty Linda left Dad, Mom, and Paige all left to go food shopping. They weren't gone long and when they came home Mom took us out to do our thing.

All and all it was a great day. We love these days when Mom stays home with us.

I Can do it!!!!

This has certainly been a very interesting 2 weeks for me. I was in my 2nd heat cycle and I drove the boys crazy. Even Ol' Ben was chasing me. I thought it was all fun and games until I realized what they really wanted of me. Pretty much towards the end of this week I was in no mood for Bo to be trying to have his way with me. He would make me so mad I would chase him and try to bite his face. A couple of times I got him good and when he yelped in pain Mom said "Good enough for you Bo. Now leave her alone." I'm done with this problem until next heat cycle which Mom says will probably come in about 6 months from now.

Now on to more exciting things to tell about. I can finally go down the deck stairs by myself. Mom's been trying to teach me to go down them for all most a year now and I finally got brave enough to do it. Up till now I was always afraid of them. They seemed so dangerous to me, but I concord them! I can do them!!!

Well got to go so one of the others can get on the computer.

I Don't Understand

Ok I know Mommy told me one day I would grow up and be a dog and there would be no more puppy, but she never said I would feel different. I don't understand it. Mommy says I'm in my heat cycle, and I'm looking to mate. I don't understand.

For the last few days I've been feeling funny inside. My head is telling me I want to play and run around like a puppy, but other parts of me are telling me to be an adult. I don't understand. I want Bo and Ben to play, but then I want more. I don't understand.

Mom watches over me closely and gets mad if I try to play with the boys. I'm only trying to get them to play... I think. I don't understand.

Mom says I'm still too young and I have to wait for my next heat cycle. Wait? For what? I don't understand. I have to go now. I have to go think on this somemore. I'll get back to you about this at a later date.
