Mina is a Fetching master: with all the commands (down, sit, GO!, come, etc.) She even responds to the very special command: AIRDOG! where she leaps about 5 feet in the air to catch a tennis ball.

Arrival Story:
Supposedly Dalmatians are to have originated in Dalmatia, which was a part of Yugoslavia back in the old days. So, being that my wife is from Yugoslavia (Serbia) we just HAD to get a dog from that part of the world. I really didn't want a dog to begin with... but, me being the good husband I am...I went with her wishes. We looked all over the place: the newspapers, websites, pet stores, the pound... when finally my addiction to Craigslist browsing took me to an ad for a "Dalmatian" for $300 bucks. The girl that owned Mina got her as a gift, but as she was preparing to get married, she had no time to spend with the dog. Instantly my wife fell in love. So, we handed the girl $300 bucks and went home with a round bellied Dalmatian puppy.

Bio:
We've since come to find out that Mina isn't a Purebred, which is just fine with us. She has many of the characteristics of a Dalmatian (aside from the spotted coat): lots of running, protective behaviors, etc. But, she also has many traits that make her different: she trains easily, not very tempermental (Dalmatians are known to be kinda whacky) and she is just about as lovable as a dog can get. She kisses everybody: dogs and people alike, and she is quite the hit at the Fremont Dog Park, where I have the luxury to take her on a daily basis. Being self-employed with a home office, she is with me all-day, always up in my face while I work on the computer, barking when I'm trying to talk to clients, and making me laugh when I'm trying to be serious. She also makes quite the pit crew at the track while I practice and road race my motorcycle. Heck, don't tell anybody, but I even bring her along with me when I go to visit clients! She is my first dog (we had a family dog growing up, but nothing like this), and she is our little angel. Mina is absolutely the glue that holds us together. The day can be at its absolute worst for my wife and I, and that little dog always pulls us through.
