holidays

ooooh, i love this time of year! thanksgiving is awesome because i get all kinds of leftover treats like turkey - yummm. i know christmas is coming up soon because mom has been buying clothes and making me try them on to make sure they fit. dad thinks that all clothes look ridiculous on me, but i think it's ok and mom sure thinks i'm cute when i do. i wonder if i'll get anything BIG... like a new bed or a big new toy or a really big bully stick. hmmm... and the best part is that i don't have to get anything for anyone else!! mwhahaha. i just give a few licks. :)

mom thinks i'm a dingo

omg! mom told me that she thinks i'm a dingo! isn't that crazy?? well i guess if you look at this wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingo), it SORTA looks like me. maybe my great great great great great grandparents were dingoes. hehe.

it's my birthday! yay!!

i'm finally 1 year old! now mom can stop calling me a puppy! :) i wonder what kind of present i will get. hehe.

webcam?!?

mom says she put a webcam in the house so she can watch me while she's at work. FREAKY! i'm not going to show it to you because sometimes i do embarassing things. :D isn't that kinda big brother-ish of her, though? i guess i have to get used to being on camera if i'm going to be famous one day. :)

you-rope?

mom says she's going somewhere called europe for 10 days?? do they have rope toys there? how come i can't go?? she says i have to stay with grandma, which is ok because grandma is a pushover. i just have to whine a little and she lets me do whatever i want. :) grandpa is cool too because he will play fetch with me forever. also, i never have to take a bath when i'm at grandma's house. the only bad thing is they go to sleep early!!

my couch / new dog parks

FINALLY, i made it onto the couch. for 7 months, mom has only let me onto the "ottoman" part of the couch, but yesterday she stayed home from work with me, and i hopped right on the couch next to her and she didn't yell at me! i made the "cute face" and pretended to be asleep, so she let me stay there. now it is MY COUCH... HAHAHAHAHA. i will come and go as i please... now the only other place i am not allowed is upstairs and on mom's bed. that is my next conquest. mom sits on my bed all the time, so i should get to sit on hers! hehehe.

mom said this weekend we might be able to go to some new doggie parks. normally we only go to redwood shores and foster city. i wonder where we will go? she also said something about trails, but i heard there are mostly people on the trails and not enough doggies to play with. no thanks!! just the doggies, please.

bay area shiba meet / runemragged

i was so excited about the bay area shiba meet this weekend, but then it rained on saturday so we didn't get to go meet the other shibas. :( apparently, they rescheduled for sunday, but mom didn't check her email so we missed it!! booooooooooo.

lately, i've been going to "doggy daycare" at runemragged. it's soooo much fun. you can stay inside, or you can go outside, and there's always tons of other doggies to play with me. there's also a human around all the time, which is ok because they have treats sometimes. mom says she can see me on the webcam from work... SCARY! can you say big brother? by the time mom picks me up, i'm pooped. she think i don't love her, but i'm just dog tired.

doctor visit / runemragged

mom says i have to get "spayed" today. i don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound good. i don't like the doctor's office, so if i have to go there, i know it's going to be bad for sure. mom says afterwards, i won't be able to make any baby chloes. i don't know how i would do that in the first place, but i'm kinda glad i won't be making any baby chloes because then i wouldn't have ALL the attention!

this weekend, mom took me to a half day of doggy daycare at runemragged (runemragged.com), and i had such a good time. since there weren't too many doggies there, i got to play with the big dogs. i loooove playing with the big dogs! when mom came to pick me up, i wasn't ready to go home yet. maybe i can go back another day soon.

UPDATE: i wasn't feeling too good for a few days, but i'm back! the first few days, mom wouldn't let me off leash, but now i am doing lots of shiba 500's again! yay!

parking lot fun run

this weekend, mom tried to take me to the grocery store (which i HATE). they have these shopping carts that are so loud, and there are so many people and kids screaming, and sometimes kids are on skateboards. anyway, i just hate it there. but mom is totally sadistic, so she tries to take me there all the time. i always protest, but i just got a new collar and mom didn't make it tight enough, so i wriggled my way out of it while we were in the parking lot. YAY! i got to run around off leash in the parking lot wherever i wanted to go. mom was trying to play it cool, but i know she was mad and wanted me to come back. "CHLOE COME HERE!" HAHAHA - NO WAY! maybe this will teach her that i don't want to go there anymore. after a while, i realized that it was no fun running around, and there were too many cars and people so i gave in. mom grabbed me really tight and said never to do that again and that she loves me and what would she do without me and that i'm bad bad bad. yeah yeah. parking lots are not as fun as dog parks anyway.

i need floss... or something / trying new snacks

there is something stuck in my mouth that's driving me crazy. i keep trying to get it out with my tongue or with my paw, but i can't get it out. it tastes funny too. i just asked mom, and she said it's a loose tooth. weird! why would my teeth fall out? i wonder if i ate some of them that fell out already? that's a bummer, cuz then the tooth fairy won't come. oh well.

mom bought me a puppy kong for me to bite on. she puts some kibble and peanut butter and puts it in the freezer for me to nibble on. i love it!! i love it so much that i can gobble it up in about 2 minutes flat. it took me a while to figure out how to get the stuff out, though, and sometimes i think i'm going to get a tongue cramp. mom says i eat it too fast, so she started hiding my kong! how evil! but don't worry, i always find it. :)

mom said that other doggies like fruits and veggies, but i really don't. carrots are ok, but bananas are nasty. yuck. i also love milk, cottage cheese, and these new chicken breast strips that mom bought me from costco.
